I had Pinkys move me after trying out 2 other moving companies in Tallahassee. There is NO comparison. The other companies charge hourly and show up with 2 guys. This cost me twice what they “estimated.” Pinkys quoted a flat rate and showed up with 10 guys (no joke, 10 guys). What previously took 7 hours with 2 guys, took Pinkys 3.5. Not only will you get a fast move, but you won’t get surprises with the cost. Overall an awesome experience and if I ever move again I’ll surly use Pinkys!
I am rejecting this response because: This information is incorrect the owner [redacted] Pinky was notified on the day of the incident by text messages because he did not provide the email address for the company until today. His supervisor who paclef the furniture and unloaded the furniture to my new home also sent him pictures and discussed the matter with Mr. Pinky in my presence. Mr. Pinky was notified by text and telephone on August 4 with a few minutes of delivery. My father was present during the packing of my stuff he had verbal permission and Mr. Pinky was notified the night prior that my father would be handling it. Payment was made per our agreement, but has since been stopped because Mr. Pinky is not taking care of the damages.according to comtract.

We had a bad experience. The owner came out to give us a quote and was very nice. Warned us about how movers will often charge you hourly rate and then you get stuck with a large bill. He offered a "flat fee" moving service. He went through the house, and noted how many pieces of furniture, promised they would take down paintings/mirrors and the TV and box them for a secure move. He promised he would send 4 guys (since we had a piano) and 2 moving trucks (one for lawn equipment etc.).
The day of the move he sent 1 truck and 3 guys. One of the guys just supervised and did paperwork the whole time. The other two guys were friendly and hard workers. They could not fit all our belongings in one truck. Also, they said they could not move lawn equipment and did not have any packing supplies for pictures/TV etc. They said I should move them on my own so they wouldn't break. After unloading at the new house, the supervisor wanted me to sign a form saying they were done. I said I would not as they still had to move the rest of my stuff. They waited outside for about 20 minutes for the "office to call me" to talk about it. Then they just left without even telling me. I called the office to see when we could arrange to get the rest of my stuff. They did not call back and I had to call back again near 5pm. They said they were going right then to get it. About 1 hour later they arrived and loaded a few items. This time there were 5 guys. They were not careful with my things. Then they all stopped working and I was told the owner told them not to load anything else until he got there to discuss an upcharge. About 30 minutes later he arrived (I tried to call, but was told his cell phone was dead...which it was not because I saw him use it later). He arrived and basically accused me of bringing more stuff to the house prior to the move. He asked that I pay about 300 more dollars to cover the extra time of his workers. I reminded him that he promised 2 trucks and 4 guys. And that if that had happened we would have been done in the 6 hours he thought it would take. I also was frustrated because regardless of how long it takes I was quoted a flat rate...that apparently is meaningless though. Since it had been a long day and I was concerned I was about to experience one of those horror stories where they take your stuff hostage, I paid about 200 extra to get them to finish. Then they went to get gas and spent about 30 minutes at the convenient store while I waited for them (at this point I was following them to be sure they didn't run off with my stuff). Also, they did not reassemble the beds and furniture they took apart like I was promised.
If I thought this was a shady company I would have expected this and been on guard. I thought the owner seemed trustworthy. Perhaps that is why I was so disappointed. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
The owner is a liar, not even deserve one star. A complete unprofessional service. Didn't show up with my moving, I called and the owner went into argument with me in a very disrespectful way. After one day, they "deliver" my staff, throwing things. My furniture were broken and several things are missing until today.

Our company was unaware of the damages that occurred and did not receive any documentation on this incident. On the first meeting with the customer she was asking about damage claims, so that immediately sent out red flags to our company. Our contract states to report all damages within a 24 hr...
period which did not happen. The customer was also not present during the move and they also reversed their payment which voids all damage claims according to our contract. The customer has not sent in any information about the damages ex. pictures, statements, etc. Our plan is to repair any damages that our company causes as long as we are notified within a timely manner. As soon as we receive all documentations needed for a claim then we will repair the damages.

I spent six years in the U.S. Army and have moved six times throughout the continental United States. Pinky's has far exceeded any other moving service I have used and they demonstrated their dedication to service by being organized, efficient, and careful with my belongings. Pinky's diligently packed my 3 bedroom/2.5 bath house in two days and loaded the truck in minimal time. While in Dallas, they were very accommodating when we had to offload my household goods in two separate locations (apartment/storage unit). They set up all my furniture, undamaged, no questions asked. Pinky's is the easily the gold standard for moving company's in Tallahassee.
Pinky's Moving Service moved our 3700 sq ft home in Hawks Landing last week from Tallahassee, FL to Whiteville, NC. The packers were phenomenal and state of the ark. They packed our whole house with speed and accuracy. Pinky's wrapped/loaded all of our belongings carefully and efficiently. My family would recommend Pinky's Moving to anyone after our excellent experience.
My experience with Pinky's Moving Service was a positive one. When the guys moved my furniture on April 1st they were organized and efficient. All my items were double wrapped and handled with care as if it was their items. The guys were very respectful and polite.
Pinky's moving service is a very friendly company. The business owner has excellent communication skills and goes out of his way to make sure the customer has a positive moving experience! I would highly recommend this company for moving. Their packing service is fast and efficient.
