I purchased a 1999 Mercedes benz from Pinnacle and the gas and check engine light has been on and they refused to fix it[redacted] was the one who sold me the car and I took the vehicle back the first time and [redacted] brother stated that they fixed the vehicle, but once I got down the road almost home, the gas and engine light popped back on, so I called [redacted] again and told him that it was right back on and I told him that I thought he fixed the car and he stated that they didn't never fixed the car they just kept it for a day. So I took the car back and they claimed the fixed it and this time they kept it for two days and gave me a rental car which was a 1999 maxima which was jerking while I drove it to and from work, so I kept calling [redacted] checking on my car and he claim that the piece was suppose to come in the next day, but it didn't and he claim it claim in the next day and that he will slap it in in ten minutes and that he will put about ten miles on the car and call me when it was ready. So he called me and told me to come pick it up it was ready. So I got the car and drove to [redacted] NC and back home and before I even get home the gas lite and engine light was right back on. I called [redacted] again and he stated that he will contact [redacted] which is the owner and see what he wanted to do. So I called and talk to the owner and explained to him the situation and he told me to just drop the car back off. So [redacted] told me that they didn't have any rentals and that he would call me once they get some rentals in( which was last week) here it is Monday and haven't no one called me yet. I feel like because I am a woman that they is trying to get over on me like I'm dumb or something. I put 1500 down on the car and I have a 30 day warranty (which expires Friday the 14th) and just made a 365 payment the 1st. I currently have another vehicle from them that I currently make payments on which is a 2001 Ford F1-50 that I never had a problem with. Desired SettlementI just want my money back and be done with them. They have showed me poor customer service and I am upset, worried about how they treating me like they don't care. I need a responsible vehicle that will take me to and from work.Business Response Mrs. [redacted] complaint is filled with contradictions, inaccruacies, and flat out lies. The first and biggest was made in the first sentence when she said that Pinnacle "Refused to fix" her car. If we had "Refused to Fix" her car why would she have been driving around in the Free 1999 Altima (Not Maxima) rental. Which she complained about and because she did not like the rental she rushed us to fix her car. We told her that the car needed to be driven more to make sure that the check engine light was fixed. She told us not to worry she was coming to pick it up. Then after she rushed us she complains later when the light came back on. That being said she called in and talked to the owner as she said and he said to "drop the car back off so we could get it fixed" That does not sound like someone that is "Refusing to fix" her car. She was upset that we did not have a rental available when she called in. What she does not understand is that the rental is given FREE as a courtesy to customers. It is not something we are obligated to do. So if she was in such a hurry to get her car fixed she could have dropped it whenever she wanted and just not gotten a FREE rental. So her aligation that we were trying to get over on her because she is a women is just made up. As for the complaint that we just held the car for a day and never touched it. That is a absolute lie. We even showed her the parts that we changed. Yes the light did come back on but as I said we were rushed by the customer and not allowed the proper amount of time to make sure that the engine light would stay off. As an update Mrs. [redacted] 1999 Mercedes Benz was a voluntary repossession on 3/11/2014. Never giving us the opportunity to make it right. And just so the customer knows check engine lights are NOT covered under The Buyers Guide limited 30 day 1000 mile warranty. The car was inspected and the engine light was off when the car was sold. We were trying to fix it as a courtesy to the customer. In summary Mrs. [redacted] 1999 Mercedes Benz is now considered a repossession and there will be NO refund given. We regret her decision to return her vehicle as we value her as a customer but we cannot fix a car when the customer does not give us the proper amount of time to do so. Now that the car is at the lot it will be fixed correctly and afterwards will be available for Mrs. [redacted] to pick up for a limited time. If this is not a fair enough resolution to the problem then Mrs [redacted] is a customer that can not be satisfied and we cannot fix that no matter how hard we try.Final Consumer Response First of all [redacted] is full of lies and contradictions. The first day he sold me the car as soon as I left and got to Raleigh on [redacted] Blvd the check engine light came on and the gas light. So he told me to bring him the car back, and I did. They kept it for a day or too, when I picked the car up [redacted] brother stated that they fixed the car but as soon as I left and got to Raleigh again the check engine and gas light came back on again. So I called [redacted] and he stated that they didn't do nothing to the car and I have witnesses because I always have him on speaker phone. So I took the car back up there this time again and he claimed they fixed it and he did show me some part but I drove the car home again and it still was doing the same thing. I was not rushing him, I was calling him or texting him asking him was the car ready, If I was rushing him I would of said can u hurry up and fix the car which was not the case, and I took the car back to them twice and the car still had the same problem, which they claimed they fixed so why should I take it for a third time and get the same result, and yes I turned the car back in because you stated that you would text or call me once yall got a rental car which you never did so yes I called you and told you to come get the mess. [redacted] gets in front of [redacted] and say one thing and then get on the phone with me and say another thing. When in reality its all on him and his lies. I also have witnesses that heard and seen our text messages about the car, have rode around with me in the car as the check engine light, and gas light was on. How would they feel if they were in my shoes. Final Business Response The Revdex.com has requested that I respond to this complaint again. See above response. Nothing has changed. Plus Mrs. [redacted] last response had nothing in it that I have not already covered. Please do not waste my time with this again unless there is something to respond to. The Revdex.com also said that BOTH parties have to Move from there position to middle ground. Fixing the car for free when it is NOT covered under any sort of warranty is more then moving to middle ground. This is the last reponse I am going to waste time writing. My position in clear.
