Review: I received a bill from Pinnacle Health Medical Group for services. The bill total is $115.78. I paid the bill via the website provided on the front of the bill, entered my CC information, and received a confirmation email that the balance was paid. The email was dated June 10th.
On July 8th I received a phone call stating that the balance was going to go to collections for non-payment. I again provided my CC information and my CC was billed for the total. I then realized that my CC had been billed twice incorrectly, and contacted the billing office to rectify the situation. I faxed in the email proving the balance paid, and was informed that my balance had gone to a completely different entity not associated with Pinnacle Health, and that I would need to contact Pinnacle VA myself to dispute the charge.
I was not provided any contact information, even though the confirmation email came directly from the payment website on the front of the bill. I asked them how my payment went to a completely different entity not associated with Pinnacle Health, and was repeatedly told "I don't know, that is just how the payment was processed. You will have to dispute it yourself since our company is not associated with Pinnacle VA."
I have the confirmation email stating payment, and as well the original bill where I used the website billpay.pinnaclehealth.org. Please process my complaint so that I receive a refund, and Pinnacle then needs to pursue the charge on their end, not mine.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund from Pinnacle Health for $115.78, and Pinnacle Health needs to dispute the charge from Pinnacle VA. I should not have to pursue disputing the charge myself since the bill was paid and the billing department is at fault. The payment website needs to be corrected so this situation does not occur with any other of their patients.
