Pinnacle Hood and Fire Protection

Before I took the job, I met with [redacted], the customer. Told [redacted] there was going to be difficulty on job (low ceiling, ceiling full of air conditioning duct, gas line, etc). Before I took the deposit, I...

explained it was still going to have hot temperatures because it was a small kitchen with a large hood and low ceiling. I explained that if it was going to be to hot, we could later install an exhaust fan for the kitchen area. The job of a hood is not air conditioning, but rather to take out the carbon monoxide, the grease, and the smell. No hood is made to take out heat according to NFPA 96. I have called customer numerous times, physically gone to the location, and proved to customer that the smoke, smell, and grease was pulling out. The hood system is properly functioning. The customer agreed. Later met with customer again after numerous communication attempts and we agreed to add the exhaust. However, there was no response after that discuss ion. Recently, I attempted to contact him about moving forward with adding the exhaust to solution the high temperature problem and never received a response until this complaint was put forward.
The customer had problems with the general contractor, plumber, and electrician because he did not listen to their expertise advice which is a common denominator with the trouble on the job. Review: We opened our restaurant last September 2013.Pinnacle installed our range kitchen hoods in our kitchen.They were Not installed correctly.Our kitchen has no make up air unit as promised.Our kitchen is very Hot ...dangerously so that my staff has several fans installed to keep the temperature somewhat tolerable.I had other installers look at the job done by Pinnacle and was informed that it IS A Disaster.It leaks,it was not installed correctly.Pinnacle will have nothing to do with this. He claims that everything is AOK.In addition they broke the seal and ceiling to my walk in refrigerator while trying to jack the hoods up into place.Pinnacle has also installed the hoods in the restaurant behind my restaurant and they are having the same issues.....improper installation with No make up air units to keep the kitchen cool and comfortable.I paid over 23,000$ for this botched job.Desired Settlement: I want this hood repaired properly,or a refund so I can have the work done by others.
