We were contacted by the customer for a Service CallShe stated that she had an oil furnace and had black smoke;it smelled and that her blower was cycling on and off.Technician went to do service at customers homeHe found out that furnace was plugged full due to lack of serviceThe furnace was old and in bad shapeThe front of the furnace had soot on it which indicates that front seals were blown due to back pressure which causes carbon monoxide to leak inside of house. At this point service technician tried to explain to customer what was wrongShe only wanted minimum cleaning doneAt this point the technician contacted the owner ofTop Notch because he thought this was a safety hazard. The owner told him to go back in and verify that the furnace was plugged up thoroughly and the age of the unit and then to contact him while he was standing there. The Owner of Top Notch advised the technician that due to the fact that it was a mobile home furnace, the age of the unit and the fact that it was thoroughly plugged up we recommend that it be replacedThis was based on his years of experience in the HVAC business. We did contact the owner several times as we were trying to give him the best price possible for the replacementAfter the last quote we decided to pull away from the job.The customer wa s charged $for the Service Call; which is our fee

Top Notch installed carpet in the customer's house and the technician did put tears in the carpet. I had every intention of doing the repairs. I left numerous messages for the carpet installer that I wanted to use to complete this job. I did try to call the customer several times but was unable to...

reach her.
Last week I was able to reach the carpet installer and one of the girls in the office called the customer to set up a time to go and look at the carpet and to resolve the issue to the customer's satisfaction.
She was told by the customer that her house was sold, as is, and she did not need the repair work to be done.

The cardholder called on May 28, 2015 stating that the A/C on her property at [redacted] was not working and wanted service. At this time we were only doing work for our Service Contract customers and told her that if she wanted to buy a Service Contract for her unit we...

could provide service to her. She agreed to buy a contract for the a/c portion of her system which cost $109.00 and gives her apreventative maintenance on her system to be scheduled at a later date. Our service charge to go out would be at $95.00 per hour plus parts. She said that she wanted the unit fixed as her daughter and grandchildren were renting her house from her. When the technician accessed the unit he found that the unit was out of refrigerant and also suggested putting on a hard start kit on the unit.He told her that the unit needed to be replaced.  The owners daughter gave the go ahead to add the refrigerant and put on the hard start kit.The technician put in 11 pounds of refrigerant at $95.00 per pound and a hard start kit which cost $225.00.  With the $95.00 per hour service call charge (which should have been $125.00 for the weekend) the bill for the call totaled $1,365.00.When the administrative assistant called for payment the customer was upset about the charge.  She told her most of the charge was for the refrigerant and that she would not require her to purchase the Service Contract if she did not want to.  She was satisfied with taking the$109.00 and the $95.00 Service charge off the bill and agreed to pay for One hour labor, material and part. She was happy to get the a/c working for her daughter and grandchildren and paid the remainder amount with her credit card.
