I had updated this complaint earlier and stated that Pinnacle had come out to replace the plant & looked at the treeTree will be monitored over the next few monthsPinnacle said it will be replaced next year if it needs to be done

Pinnacle Landscaping poured a new driveway and steps at the residence. The steps are north facing and do not receive sun exposure. There were no problems with the concrete drying out prematurely because there was no sun exposure. Pinnacle...

Landscaping conveyed to the homeowners that the problem appeared to be caused because of ice melting compound being used on the steps, and because of the lack of sun exposure, the ice melting compound does not melt and sits on the concrete and causes it to deteriorate and spald over time.
This is a maintenance issue, not a concrete installation problem.
The only solution is to tear out and replace the steps at the owner's expense or for the homeowners to find a contractor that does micro-top.
This was conveyed to the homeowner's when Pinnacle Landscaping came out to check out the problem.
