[redacted] Dear SIR/MADAM: Please accept this as a response to the above complaint of [redacted] (hereinafter “complainant”) against Stephen Einstein & Associates, P.C. (hereinafter “SEA”). SEA is a law firm primarily practicing in debt collection. In the present case, SEA represents Pinpoint Technologies Too, LLC in efforts to collect on a HOUSEHOLD/RENAISSANCE defaulted account, account number [redacted]. This response is based on my review of the electronic activity file, documentation received and scanned by SEA, and documentation generated by SEA, all in the ordinary course of operations. Plaintiff initiated suit in 2008, through its former counsel, Mel S. Harris & Associates, LLC (hereinafter “MSH”) by issuing a summons and complaint to the process server regarding the above-mentioned defaulted account. After complainant failed to answer, a judgment was entered in 2009 for $1,738.95. In August 2013, complainant filed bankruptcy. Complainant was discharged from bankruptcy in November 2013. In 2015, MSH went out of business and SEA replaced MSH as counsel for Plaintiff. SEA took no steps to enforce the judgment or speak to complainant. On February **, 2016, complainant called SEA and stated that the judgment was preventing him from purchasing a house. In filing bankruptcy, complainant omitted this debt from the petition and never amended the filing to include the subject debt. On February **, 2016, complainant offered to make a voluntary payment to resolve the judgment. The parties reached an agreement and SEA sent complainant a Stipulation to Vacate and Discontinue the action on February **, 2016. At this time SEA has received the fully executed stipulation from the complainant. I hope this response adequately answers complainant’s concerns. Please feel free to contact me if you require anything further. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Very truly yours: ____________________________________ Michael A.
