After speaking to Dr*** and the Medical Assistant who was in the room when the patient was treated, we are disputing that we said the treatment was included in the office visit or that we denied his request to check with his insurancePatients often request to check with their insurance
company before having a treatmentWhen they do we provide them with the codes that will be billed and allow them time to callWe never rush patients into a treatmentWhat is commonly said when patients ask if a specific treatment will be covered by their insurance is "The codes we bill are covered by most insurances" but we never guarantee coverageThis treatment was in fact was covered by the patient's insurance but the charges were subject to his deductible and then became the patients responsibilityPlease let me know if any further information is required from out office to resolve this matter

I am rejecting this response because: The business is simply reciting their policy. The response from the business didn't even address the fact that I asked Dr. [redacted] three times to check my insurance policy. Their policy on how they handle their patients is one thing, but what occurred during my visit is another.During my visit, before the spray was applied, I specifically asked Dr. [redacted] three times to check on my insurance to see how/if I would be billed for the procedure and if it would go towards my deductible as I did not want to pay for anything more than the office visit.  As I mentioned previously, Dr. [redacted] said I would not have to pay anything in addition to the office visit, which included my deductible.  When I asked for the third time if we can check on that, he was visibly annoyed and wanted to move on with the procedure.If we would have followed their policy as they describe, I would have never had the procedure done as I would never pay hundreds of dollars to have two small warts removed.
