Review: These people are so unprofessional ithe is extremely unreal. First they will collect an application fee of $50 from you only to deny you for false reasons. [redacted] needs to simply retire with her bitter self. They said I had an eviction that was still outstanding which is false I offered to provide proof and was told she didn't care. Obviously. The information they claim they have to deny me is completely inaccurate and they won't even allow you to show them the truth. They cost me a lot of money that was put down on a property that cannot be moved off their slab of concrete they wouldn't approve me for. I even offered to pay a years worth of lot rent but still got a no. If I was the owner sue which I left many messages with that I'm sure they never passed the message I would seriously rethink the customer service used while representing this place. Never would I recommend someone to go here and be treated the way both myself and my mother have been treated. I'm sure my $50 will not be refunded nor will the $1000 that I put down on the property. I have seen other complaints against this company and have yet to see one resolved.Desired Settlement: I would love to be granted a chance to show that their gathered information is false. [redacted] claims she checked CCAP which if that is true clearly states the mentioned eviction has been completely satisfied for years. However at this point the seller has again offered the house up for sale.

Response:

We at Tower View take our application process very seriously. We make our decisions based on reviewing all of the information in its entirety. [redacted] is correct that their eviction from 4 years ago was satisfied and the CCap report does show it as satisfied. But just because she ultimately satisfied the eviction doesn't change the fact that she was evicted in the first place. After considering this, along with the other information we received during the application process, we decided there was too much risk to accept her as a tenant. It's never easy for us to deny potential tenants but we feel that we need to have high standards in order to keep our communities a safe and pleasant place for our residents to live. We do charge a $50 application fee to cover our costs to process the application. [redacted] was told when she applied that the application fee is nonrefundable. [redacted] entered in to a private sale with the seller. We were not involved. If she hasn't received a refund from the seller for her $1,000 deposit, she will have to resolve that issue directly with the seller. Sincerely Tower View

Review: We applied for housing on Dec.18, 2014, with a $50.00 non refundable deposit for a background check. It took them almost a month to deny us housing-and they never even contacted our current landlord. Supposedly they just got employment verification last week-company sent in verification 3 weeks ago. They lied about everything along the way. Their process is crap, and I feel its just to get the $50.00. My lawyer looked into whether they even did a background check( there are ways of finding this out) and he says they didnt. I can do a background check in 30 seconds. Also, they showed us one place for rent, but when we applied, they said it wasnt available, and showed us another. Kept changing their mind as to what was available.Desired Settlement: I want my $50.00 back. I dont believe they did what they said they were going to do-they barely looked in to our background.

Dear Mr.

[redacted]:

This is in

response to ID [redacted] submitted to you on January 13, 2015.

[redacted] and [redacted] have applied for a rental at 700 W. Layton Ave.

Lot #B-3. We have run employment verification. We were unsuccessful in obtaining it from the

employer after several attempts.

Finally, the [redacted] brought in a paycheck stub.

When we finalized

this application, it was determined that we were unable to accept [redacted] and

[redacted] as tenants based on their income, background check and credit history. They were denied tenancy. This occurred over Christmas. This unit is still available.

The

applicants do sign an acknowledgement form that tells them that there is a

nonrefundable application fee of $50 which is used to cover costs associated

with processing the application.

If you get a

signed document from Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] to disclose to you the specifics of

our findings, we will be glad to furnish it to you.

Sincerely,

Tower View

Who may concern
Pioneer Homes of Wisconsin, Inc. do not deliver what they offered in their web site " Pioneer Homes is a family business, dedicated to helping you attain the affordable dream of home ownership. We have helped hundreds of families, just like yours, obtain the security and sense of well-being that comes with owning their own homes. We'd like to help make this dream come true for you, too! "
It was in University Village Heights, owned by Pioneer Homes of Wisconsin, Inc. where we live the most humiliate experience of discrimination, patronization and segregation on part from Robert, at the complex, and another part for Helen and David at main offices on Milwaukee, WI.
Because of them, what it would be, a simple buy-sale operation payed in full, become a nightmare that deny us the opportunity to have a place to live together my husband and I.
My husband - Canadian Citizen- and I -Mexican Citizen and legally American Resident- we are a retired elderly couple looking forward to buy a mobile home in Manitowoc. in order of that on May 3rd. this year, after we search for mobile home opportunity on the web, among the result we found some results in this web page [redacted] and then we decided to buy at University Village Heights, in where Pioneer Homes of Wisconsin, Inc. own, land and mobile homes, as we were told for Robert the office manager at the complex.
We were treading as second class persons for Robert, who is in charge of show and negotiate the price of the operations. Our first interest was in a three room, two bathrooms Mobil home for $7,000.00, which according with Robert was sold that very day, so we decide that unit [redacted], with the same characteristics but newer was good for us, we offer $12,000.00, Robert accepted our offer, our $1,000.00 check and the hole paperwork for it, we will have answer in less than one week according with Robert information.
Few days later Robert told us that "…it seems to be accepted after talk with Helen in Pioneers main offices, once Peter authorized the operation, and we were accepted as renters of the land after background checks, all be sorted out in less than a week... but times goes by without answer.
Then Robert gave us the phone to call the main offices, we did call on May 11th and Helen said that David was in charge of that application, we call to David in May 12th and this David person was rude, and belligerent, and told us that he does not know when they would have an answer that it was "...a matter of time..." my husband had to return to Canada, and we have all our stuff on a truck ready to move.
Finally, in May 13th Robert call us to tell us that ... we were accepted as tenants but they want $16,000.00!... they inflate the price and they do not even give us the option to decide for any other unit in the same complex. It was shocking! They not only play with us but stage everything to deny us the appropriate right to buy our place to live. My husband that is a retired general constructor, review the two units mentioned and market price was no more than we offer, since unit [redacted] needed about 5,000 repairs and improvements.
We returned to University Village Heights and Robert told us we were accepted as a tenants but they do not want undocumented people, and aliens smuggling undocumented people in the units, and people paying cash as laundry money operation. We will pay with our long time saving money!
Those comments were totally outrageous. How they dare to treat people like that? After those comments we think to sue them but we have no money for that. At least we want to Revdex.com, let them know about this company hide policy against us.
Only because we are an interracial older couple trying to live, the rest of our lives with dignity they have the right to treated us as trash?
Pioneer Homes of Wisconsin, Inc. do not convey what they offer, personal is racist, prejudicial and rude. They are a kind of monopoly in Manitowoc and we are afraid they actualize future intents to buy another mobile home.
