We will reach out to a customer to resolve the issue. VM was already left.

Indy Auto Man regrets that this customer is unhappy with his current situation. However, please know that we have worked in good faith to resolve his situation. First, we DID make the necessary repair to his vehicle that the customer mentioned the third day he owned it. When he brought his vehicle...

back to us the second time, it was diagnosed with a different problem. We diagnosed the issue at no cost to the customer and explained that our dealership has a Targeted Protection Warranty program specifically designed to give consumers an added protection when buying a used car at our facility. The program offers up to $2500 in repairs for 3 months or 3000 miles on a vehicle purchased within 21 days. A pre owned vehicle can have a mechanical breakdown at any time. In spite of our best efforts we cannot guarantee that a mechanical issue wont arise. What we do know is that the car was operating perfectly well when it was driven off of our lot. So, if an issue were to arise after an "as is" purchase, we offer a $450.00 warranty that will fix a major mechanical issue within the first 3 months/3000 miles. The consumer has the opportunity to buy this same protection for $299.00 the day of the sale. The customer declined this offer at that time. Indy Auto Man is not aware of any other pre owned auto dealer who offers this level of consumer protection. In this case, the customer's vehicle needs between $1600-$1800 worth of repairs that we are offering to remedy for a $450.00 participation on the customer's behalf. Unfortunately, after explaining this to the customer, he still declined our offer to resolve the issue. We simply cannot be held accountable for a vehicle's condition post sale as we have not been in possession of the car and have no idea how it has been maintained. In addition, we make certain that during the delivery process, the consumer is well aware that this vehicle is being purchased "as is". All of our customers have an opportunity to have the car inspected by a third party, prior to closing and an additional opportunity to purchase an extended service agreement. This customer declined both of those protections. Indy Auto ManVictor F[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I purchased a vehicle in good faith with Indy Auto Man, I traded in my only vehicle and almost $5000 cash.  Upon purchasing the vehicle somehow there was a mistake on their end with my plates.  My current plates has been expired for over 2 months and I still have not received a solution.  I literally can not drive the vehicle with expired plates.I want some temporary plates until they work out the mishap on their end or just file the correct paperwork and send me my info so I could get my own plates.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me. The dealership quickly offered to pay...

for an additional key to be made at a local dealership and paid the bill directly over the phone.  I feel the issue is resolved adequately.

Indy Auto Man respondedIndy Auto Man welcomes everyone. We have thousands of completely satisfied and happy out of state customers. Our customers know that they get exceptional value for the lowest possible price at Indy Auto Man. Our vehicles are well sought after due to our competitive...

pricing strategy as well as the over all quality of our inventory. Our solution is simple, if you don't want to risk the car you're interested in being sold before you arrive, put a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit on the vehicle and we will not sell it to anyone else. We guarantee the car is in great shape, or your money back. We do not pressure people to place a deposit. All cars are sold on a first come first serve basis. If a non refundable deposit is holding a car, and someone else wants to buy it, we will not sell it to the other person as there is already a deposit on that car. However, if the person who has placed the deposit on the car decides they do not want that car we are happy to transfer their full non refundable deposit to any other vehicle at our dealership. In addition to the sales price, we charge mandatory sales tax, dealer fee, tag and title fee, and offer optional ETCH protection. We have never charged a separate dealer inspection fee, the writer is mistaken. Indy Auto Man performs an inspection on each vehicle when they arrive at our facility. Our inspections include checking all fluids changing or topping off when necessary. We perform a complete diagnostic scan to determine that all other components are functioning properly. We inspect, identify and repair any issue that would be a safety concern. After the mechanical inspection our vehicles go through a comprehensive detail process before being offered for sale. This customer was only interested in import vehicles under $8000 with less than 60,000 miles. We showed her a beautiful Mini Cooper that fit that criteria. This car was a fantastic buy, unfortunately this customer did not want this car for reasons we do not fully understand. On another note, this customer was notified that the out the door price on the vehicle would be $8,327.75 and she agreed to this price as she had $300 given to her by her mother in law. Upon placing a deposit she told our sales consultant that the deal wouldn't happen unless the car was priced no more than $7000.00 including all taxes and fees or that her husband would walk away from their deposit over the price. Furthermore, the customer sent numerous text messages to our sales consultant imploring him not to tell her husband that she knew the deposit was nonrefundable because she did not disclose that information to her husband. It appears to us that the real issue here is lack of open communication between the couple. We have retained the text communications for verification. Indy Auto Man was upfront, transparent, and thorough in our discussions with this customer in every way. Regarding the non refundable deposit the customer was well aware of our company policy regarding this. We declined to sell this car to another customer while there was a deposit on it. The customer freely agreed to place the non refundable deposit after reading, signing, and returning the non refundable deposit agreement to us.
