Dear [redacted],

In reference to the complaint by the above named customer, [redacted], it is with great regret that [redacted] would...

not allow our men to enter his garage to rectify the situation.  We were there on two different occasions.

The first time, [redacted] ([redacted]’s salesman) went to [redacted], with a wet vaccuum, blower and rags.  [redacted] told [redacted] that he wanted everything taken out of the garage, vaccuumed out and everything wipped down, and put back in place.  [redacted] said his garage was “full of dirt and crud from the last 25 years and he did not have time to remove everything to clean out  his garage”.    He was there to wipe things down and vaccuum out his garage.  [redacted] would not let him do so, he wanted his whole garage cleaned out.

The second time, we sent two of our guys, with a wet vac, blower and rags. Unnannounced because they were in the area.  [redacted] was home, but refused to let our guys do the job that they were sent there to do.  He closed the door in their faces.

Its not like we weren’t attentive to his needs.  We are sorry but we did try to rectify the situation.

Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Yes, the vendor is correct- the job was already completed and paid for, and then, after the fact, my grandmother had asked for the discount- BECAUSE THE ESTIMATOR DID NOT HONOR THE COUPON AT THE TIME OF THE ESTIMATE!!!  The vendor, Pioneer Paving, clearly must instruct their estimators to not accept the coupon at the time of the estimate so they can avoid honoring their advertised discount.  They are falsely advertising and should be penalized for it and they should be ashamed for taking advantage of naive senior citizens.  They claim they tried to act in good faith, but all they did was try to appease my grandmother with a refund that was only a portion of what should have been given in the first place.  If they were truly trying to act in good faith, they would have paid the full amount promised on the advertisement and apologized for the misunderstanding.  This way, we could recommend them for more work, but now I hope karma somehow gets the refund back from them.  It's a shame that they would rather deal with answering to Revdex.com complaints and poor reviews online then pay the rest of what they owe to my grandmother.
Sincerely,
Christopher G[redacted]

The response from Pioneer contains inaccuracies and outright falsehoods.  [redacted] is an excellent representative for Pioneer Paving.  He was pleasant and informative about various jobs to be done.  When he saw the mess in my garage, he arranged with his boss to come over and clean things up.  He suggested moving things out for cleaning, not me.  Unfortunately, we were given a 3 day notice for a day when we would not be home.  When I told them so, they never communicated with me again.  I kept calling, leaving messages .to no avail.  Weeks later, a man showed up at my door unannounced, as Pioneer Paving admits, with no appointment, but with an attitude.  He said he was there to blow out my garage, not vacuum.  I was concerned about the blower and told the men I was calling the office.  The office worker didn't know about the men and said someone would call back.  When I got off the phone, the men were gone and no one called back.  For several days I made numerous calls to rectify the situation, none were returned.  I kept getting the run around.  If [redacted] would arrange to make another appointment to do the clean up he proposed, I would be happy to work with him.

In reference to your letter from [redacted], her mason work was completed before we received this letter.  As for her pave date, she was given a date of August *, 2015.  We hope this helps with [redacted]’s complaint.  Thank you.

Please be advised that we sent a check back to [redacted] in the amount of $350.00.  We are sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused him.  Thank you.

Review: Back on 8/**/2015 Pioneer Paving performed work at my home. They were to sealcoat, repair an area on teh right side of the driveway and repair the end of the driveway, from side to side. Work performed at the end of the driveway was done improperly. The work performed caused rain water to puddle at the end of the driveway. Since September 2015 over two dozen calls have been made to Pioneer Paving regarding this issue. They have given appointment dates to resolve this, and have not shown for any of the confirmed dates. This has caused either myself or my wife to be at home waiting, but nobody shows and worse, nobody calls. The calls I continue to make continue to get me the same results, which is nothing. The people in the office blame each other and continue to explain how there is not a lot of time left in the season before they stop working.Desired Settlement: The work needs to be completed properly and professionally or a refund for the full amount of all work can be issued.

Review: We enlisted Pioneer Paving to sealcoat our driveway.2 men were sent to perform the work. They used blowers to prepare the driveway. For some reason, 1 worker went into our garage and blew out our garage floor. This was completely unnecessary. His action caused a huge amount of dirt to become airborne and settle on every item in the garage. Our garage is now a huge mess with every item in need of cleaning before it is used. After many phone calls, I never received a proper response. A representative offered to clean the garage, but we were unavailable the day he chose. He never called again to reschedule. Another time 2 men were sent over unannounced, to blow out the garage. I didn't think this was a solution as it need to be vacuumed not blown. This problem began on September **, 2014 and they are not responding to my phone calls. I surmise they feel they can ignore the problem. If they really want to do what is correct, they would answer my calls and we could make proper arrangements.Desired Settlement: My garage is a work station. I need help cleaning my tools, equipment, and every item that is coated with the dust and dirt caused by the actions of Pioneer Paving.

Review: My Grandmother (a senior citizen) saw Pioneer's coupon in the local coupon book for $500 off any project $5,000 or more and decided to give them a call to repave her driveway. The coupon stated that it must be presented at the time of estimate and also mentioned a Senior Citizens Discount, so when the estimator showed up to give her a quote, she presented it to him. The estimator acknowledged it and claimed that the $500 would be taken off the final invoice after the work is completed. She decided to go forth with the work, but was never given a contract to sign. Unfortunately, given her kind, gentle, and naive persona, she trusted Pioneer Paving and didn't question it until they completed the work. The day the work was completed, one of the workers (who spoke broken English) presented the final bill to her and requested payment. My Grandmother asked about the $500 discount and the senior citizens discount, but the worker couldn't respond because he didn't speak much English. Instead of putting up a fuss with the worker, she paid the final bill without receiving her $500 discount- which was the reason why she chose to use Pioneer Paving. She then called the office several times to kindly ask for her discount, but could never get in touch with the right person to speak to. Only after she started getting frustrated with them and leaving unhappy voice mails did they decide to finally send her a check for $250. When I, her grandson, found out about this, I told her I would get her money back one way or another. After trying several times to get in touch with the owner, he finally called me back. I was very cordial with him and told him that he did great work and that I'd like to recommend him to others for future work, but only if this issue is resolved. The conversation went south and he basically told me that my grandmother wasn't getting another dime and hung up the phone on me. This company falsely advertised, claiming discounts to senior citizens and discounts that were never honored.Desired Settlement: This company falsely advertised, claiming discounts to senior citizens and discounts that were never honored. I would like them to write a $500 check to my grandmother to account for the $250 balance of the promised discount and another $250 for taking advantage of a naive senior citizen, advertised as a Senior Citizens Discount.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Pioneer did an absolute horrible job which was finally completed in late November. I had paid for a 15 foot wall and was given an 8 foot wall. They did return and correct that issue, but only after filling a complaint. After the completion of the job the driveway was not draining and the garage was taking on water which found its way into the apartment as well. On 1/**/15 flooded 2/*/15 flooded 3/*/15 flooded 3/**/15 flooded 3 /**/15 flooded asked them about obtaining a pump? I was told that they don’t have one. I had to go to [redacted] and purchase two pumps and 8 sand bags. Finally on 3/**/15 they returned did a rip out of the poorly installed drain, corrected the drain issue and tore out the driveway. It has now been two months and I have been patiently waiting their return. I called them on Monday 5/**/15 left a message, no return phone call. I called again on Wednesday 5/**/15 spoke with [redacted] and she responded that she does not handle scheduling. She then forwarded my call, I left again another message. So now it is 5/**/15 and still no return phone calls!! STILL NO PAVED DRIVEWAY!!!!!!!!!!!! [redacted]

Review: Got an estimate for a paved driveway and mason work on 4/**/15 and agreed by phone on 4/**/15 that I did indeed want the work done. I was told it would take 1 month (about 30 days ) for the work to be completed once my existing driveway was ripped up. My existing driveway was ripped up 5/**/15.I paid $2500.00 that day. I was supposed to have some minor mason work done and then the paving would be done, all within one month. I never heard another word from Pioneer Paving. I called 5 weeks later for when I would get my work done and was told, "I'm so glad you called. You're not on any schedule. I'm sorry. But I will put you on the board for the week of July [redacted] for the mason " I called them today, July [redacted] and was told they have so many jobs to do, so they definitely would not get to me this week. But they should get to me next week (week of july[redacted] ) but of course, no guarantees. I have had a ripped up, messy, all stones and rock driveway for almost 9 weeks now, with no end in sight. I agreed to a complete job for $8600.00. I paid $2500.00 upon rip up, supposed to pay $1100.00 upon mason work completion and then $5000.00 at paving.Desired Settlement: I want the job done promptly and correctly and completely NOW !! It's taken more than double the time the estimator said it would take to complete the job and it's not even half way done yet. I want Pioneer Paving to call me with definite dates for when the masonry and paving work will be done . I want them to do what they said they would do immediately . I should not have to live with the ripped up, mess of a driveway they've left me with for months any longer.
