To layout the situation The boiler is not inadequate to heat the house The first time the complained about the house not being warm they were not operating the thermostat correctly We went over it on the phone they said they had it set correctly, we went out that day, they did not We set it to and the temperature started to rise They called a second time saying the boiler was broken we arrived and they were out of propane, no issue with the boiler The third call was they lost power on a Saturday for approximately hours It was also well below zero on that day and the one before They have spaces in there basement you can see outside, so the temperature in the basement was the same as outsideSome of their radiator pipes froze When they called they did not mention the power outage, they just said that the house would only get up to and only seemed to be getting heat in one room When the power came back on the one area that the pipes had not frozen was putting off heat, but the other side was not We got heaters etc defrosted all the pipes for them and then repaired a substantial amount of broken pipe which they entered as an insurance claim and it was paid Glycol is typically only installed in places where there is a good chance the system will be left unmonitored like a part time home or somewhere the water source might not be constant The boiler is not undersized to heat the home each time we were called out it had nothing to do with the boiler failing, but we still took care of the issue The insulation would make the home significantly more comfortable and we were trying to explain that if it was done the savings would be greater on heating because the boiler would be even more efficient, and they would save more money, not that it was not capable of heating the home At this point hopefully all issues are resolved we added glycol on their request and the system is running fine.Thank you,Jon D [redacted] Pioneer Spray FoamP ###-###-####F ###-###-####
