Numerous times Pipe was fixed in the same location. Wondered why they have not fixed the whole section. Poor Customer service from [redacted].To whom it may concern:I am writing to you to complain about Pipetechs Plumbing Technologies Company. I did business with this company from 07/6/2006 to 12/29/14. During that time, I have spent a lot of money to Pipetechs Plumbing Technologies.1. On 7/6/2006, they came and installed a new "State Water Heater". Charged- $875.002. On 12/6/2006, there was a leak in the State water heater and installed again another "State Heater". Water heater was under warranty. Charged- $515.00. (Please note within 6 months.)3. On 11/26/2007, there was a leak from the pipe that goes from the water heater to the inside of the house. They came and fixed. Charged - $2004. On 12/7/2011, there was a leak in the State water heater again. Came and fixed with another same brand Old state water heater.. Charged-$515.00. Please note the date- third one within 5 years5. On 4/17/2012, Water heater gave Luke warm water to the house. Pilot light was out, cause was not determined. Charged-$06. 0n 4/25/14, there was a fitting that was disconnected. Came and fixed. Charged -$145.007. 0n 12/28/2014, pipe leaking in the wall near water heater, replaced the line to Crawlspace and reconnected in Crawlspace. Charged-$160.008. On 12/2/9/2014, the job was not done right and the line in the crawlspace was disconnected. Job was not done professionally and more water was in the crawlspace. There was water inside the burner area of the water heater. Plumber was not very educational. Plumber spent time on the phone with the Pipetechs Plumbing Technologies Company and the State water heater company trying to learn the issue. Charged - $125.00. Please note that we had to pay this company having no knowledge as to why there was water near the burner of the water heater. We have a picture on the bad quality of their work. We got it replaced by Cary Plumbing, if not the fixture would have been disconnected again causing water and more dameges to the wallet.9.They realized what they have done and sent a check for $40 as a discount. We have not cashed that check yet.We have spent so much of money and time with this company. The owner/manager [redacted] (No last name was given) was so rude and possessed no customer service skills. We are so disappointed with both Pipetechs Plumbing Technologies. Please contact me to let me know how to resolve this issue. I look forward to hearing from you.Sincerely,[redacted].XXX-XXX-XXXXDesired SettlementCompensation due to thier poor quality of work.Crawl space was flooded due to the poor job that the fitting came loose. They had to come next day morning to fix the issueBusiness Response /[redacted]/1. On 7/6/2006, they came and installed a new "State Water Heater". Charged- $875.00 - Correct2. On 12/6/2006, there was a leak in the State water heater and installed again another "State Heater". Water heater was under warranty. Charged- $515.00. (Please note within 6 months.) - Incorrect. This actually occurred on 12/7/2011.3. On 11/26/2007, there was a leak from the pipe that goes from the water heater to the inside of the house. They came and fixed. Charged - $200 - No Record of This Event.4. On 12/7/2011, there was a leak in the State water heater again. Came and fixed with another same brand Old state water heater.. Charged-$515.00. Please note the date- third one within 5 years - This was the actual date of #2. This was the first and only replacement of the original water heater. It was replaced under the manufacturer's tank warranty of the original water heater on 12/7/2011. As such the original manufacturer's warranty was still in effect on the brand new heater and thus expired completely on 6/30/2012. Charge was for labor which wasn't under manufacturer's warranty, and expansion tank also not covered under manufacturer's warranty.5. On 4/17/2012, Water heater gave Luke warm water to the house. Pilot light was out, cause was not determined. Charged-$0 - Tech thoroughly inspected heater and found no issues with it that would cause the pilot light to go out. Customer had re-lit pilot prior to arrival. Nothing was charged under workmanship warranty PipeTechs provided on replacement heater installation.6. 0n 4/25/14, there was a fitting that was disconnected. Came and fixed. Charged -$145.00 - Fitting in question was on a PEX/Quest water line in the kitchen. Repaired this issue and ensured no leaks. This is unrelated to the water heater.7. 0n 12/28/2014, pipe leaking in the wall near water heater, replaced the line to Crawlspace and reconnected in Crawlspace. Charged-$160.00 - Polybutylene line in wall near water heater was leaking. Replaced line in wall to crawlspace; this was a weekend call which was also unrelated to the water heater.8. On 12/2/9/2014, the job was not done right and the line in the crawlspace was disconnected. Job was not done professionally and more water was in the crawlspace. We got it replaced by Cary Plumbing, if not the fixture would have been disconnected again causing water and more damages to the wallet. On arrival tech found water coming from inside the unnecessary jacket on the water heater. Found water in the burner assembly upon removal. Water heater was condensing inside the jacket and the water was putting out the flame. This was not an installation or water heater issue. While onsite tech found water pressure to be high and adjusted the pressure reducing valve (PRV) down to 70psi. Pressure was still surging so tech suggested they replace the faulty PRV. Customer then stated they shouldn't have to pay anything as it was a water heater issue even though the heater was no longer covered under any warranty. Technician and office staff attempted to explain that the replacement heater is only covered under the original heater's warranty when replaced under manufacturer's warranty. In an effort to satisfy customer discounted bill by half. Original charge was $250 for 2 hours of work; our labor rate. This was unrelated to the work done the previous day. Can't speak to what another plumbing company did.9.They realized what they have done and sent a check for $40 as a discount. We have not cashed that check yet. When speaking with the customer about the discounted charge of $125 customer requested $40 refund. In a good will effort sent a $40 refund to customer in December.Consumer Response /[redacted]Document Attached[redacted]This is their response.0n 12/28/2014, pipe leaking in the wall near water heater, replaced the line to Crawlspace and reconnected in Crawlspace. We have not cashed that check yet. When speaking with the customer about the discounted charge of $125 customer requested $40 refund. In a good will effort sent a $40 refund to customer in December. This is my feedback on their response. We have reviewed the company response and not satisfied with the explanation.1. I did not have to call Pipetech company again on 12/29/14, if the fix they made on 12/28/14 worked. The fitting they installed on 12/28 came loose and flooded the crawl space. We had to call them again on 12/29. He reinstalled the fitting. We were not sure again and we called another plumbing company. They told us plumbers typically do not install the fitting kind used by Pipetech plumbing and suggested replaced the fitting again. I do have the picture before and after.2. We did not see water on the water heater the first time Pipetech came on 12/28. "Water heater was condensing inside the jacket and the water was putting out the flame" statement made by the company is not true. Also company made the statement "On arrival tech found water coming from inside the unnecessary jacket on the water heater." We have been using the jacket for few years without any problems. The company may want to check the link here to know about water heater jacket efficiency. http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/insulating-your-water-heater-for-improved-... Tech stated that the water heater may be leaking and suggested replacing the water heater. He called the water heater company and told us that the water heater is not under warranty. The company made a statement that "Technician and office staff attempted to explain that the replacement heater is only covered under the original heater's warranty when replaced under manufacturer's warranty."4. FYI, we have not replaced the water heater and is working fine and not needed replacement.5. With all said, we wish the Technicians or the company should have told us about the quality of the Polybutylene pipes installed in our house in the first place that they started to fix in 2007. We would not have missed the class action claims that were going- on for the polybutylene piping.6. We never requested $40 refund. The company sent realizing the mistakes on their part.7. Even though the insurance paid for the water damage in the crawl space caused by the Technician work, due to the claims above and beyond kitchen and garage, my insurance premium has gone up.8. When we stated that we should not have pay for anything for the 12/29 visit, [redacted] threatened to put our property on court lien and showed poor customer service skills..Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/ As of Yesterday, 07/29/15, we have not received a refund of $125 as was stated by the business. We have also not cashed the check the business issued in the amount of $40. We will be satisfied with the total of $165 and decided not to pursue this case with the lawyer or the small claims court. Many thanks to Revdex.com for resolving this case.Final Business Response /[redacted]/Check # XXXXX in the amount of 125.00 was mailed 7/17/15

Poor service in water installation. Owner won't call me back to discuss the problem/Worker installed a water filter in the spring but did a poor job so housing cannot be unscrewed to replace the filter.Another worker([redacted]) came out Aug 29 and confirmed filter cannot be replaced unless you take the entire unit off each time. Recommended copper piping(which is contraindicated with well water, showing incompetence). This visit cost $125 to change a filter. I called the company Sept 1 and asked to speak to someone knowledgable to come up with a solution. Spoke to the receptionist, [redacted]. She initially told me they don't install filters, then backtracked. She said before we can go further, I need to tell her the model of the filter. I obtained that information and called her back Sept.2. She said I would need to talk to the office manager, sho wasn't available. I asked her if the office manager was knowledgable about water filters. She said no. I then insisted tto talk to the owner. She said he wasn't available but someone would call me back. No one has.Desired Settlementrefund my money so I can afford to pay someone who knows what they are doing to fix the problemBusiness Response I have reached out to and left a voice message for Mr. [redacted]. I have also researched the account and found that there was a service call in June of this year to change a whole house filter which was done and again in August. From the notes it seems the customer is unhappy with our standard service call fee. It is also notated that we were not the installers of the unit and were only called to change the filter due to the customer being unable to do so.Consumer Response Very satisfied with the response of [redacted], the office manager. Was attentive and not defensive. We reached an amicable resolution. I consider the case closed.
