Owner overbearing about his service and resources. Adamant that product was correct. Apparently DID NOT listen to what was being ordered. Sent entire 2-20-14 contacted [redacted] by phone to order a slow idle knob, for an Evinrude outboard motor. I had a part # I believed to be correct, (XXXXXX) but was assured by [redacted] in a very adamant manner that the part he had, (per his original OEM microfiche), was the proper part and was what I needed. The [redacted] was overbearing in his insistence that he knew what I needed and his microfiche confirmed it. Apparently the [redacted] was not listening to the many times I repeated 'slow idle knob' as is evidenced by my receiving a lean/rich knob. I made phone contact late on 2-24-14 about the problem. The [redacted] assumes no responsibility for his error and is unwilling to accept any onus for his part of the misunderstanding. His remedy was for me, at my expense, to return the wrong part and he would sell me the right part for his retail plus shipping. I was willing to assume some part of correcting the problem but the [redacted] was as entrenched in his refusal to admit his mistake as he was mistaken in his ability to listen and fill the order correctly. I have filed a dispute with Visa over the payment.Desired SettlementI would like a full re-imbursement including shipping plus a pick-up order for the wrong part.Business Response This letter is in response to case # XXXXXXX. Mr. [redacted] called and wanted to know if my slow speed knob (ebay item # XXXXXXXXXXXX, witha picture and Johnson part number XXXXXX, used slow speed knob) would fit his 1982 outboard.I told him I would check it out and call him back. I checked my Johnson microfiche for 1982 and confirmed that it would fit his outboard. I called him back and informed him of my findings. He also wanted to know how much shipping and handling would be and I told himaround [redacted] as posted on ebay. We had a nice chat and he gave me his credit card information.I sent the item on the next day, Feb 21 via USPS.Then, on Feb. 24th, he called to say I had sent the wrong item and he said he thought hewanted part # XXXXXX. I told him I would check and call him back. I went back to my microfiche to check and found I had a new part # XXXXXX,( knob and retaining ring).I could sell him the new part for [redacted] and [redacted] for shipping. He could return the wrong knob(#XXXXXX) he ordered for an [redacted] credit to his acount to cover wrong part but not the shipping.Mr. [redacted], then told me the error was my fault and he would give me until the morning of 2/25to prevent complaints to the, the credit card company, etc. I askedhim what he wanted and he said he wanted me to "work with him on the issue"I sent him a letter that I was sorry he had ordered the wrong part and expained my returnpolicies.
