Engine head was removed and replaced costing $2,076. When they finished checked engine light stayed on even after leaving more than 20 days. On 8/8/13 2000 BMW 528I was taken to this shop repair # XXXXXXX because it was running hot. There were no lights on on the dashboard of my car. The engine head was removed and taken to the machine shop. The bill cmes up to $2,076.53. The same day after leaving the shop my check engine light came on. I went back the same day. I have returned more than 25 days to this shop for this problem. One of the Pirates mechanics said the head may need to be removed to clean a hole. Owner said car was okay to drive with light on. I was given a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty. I noticed there was a oil leak in the area of repair. Talked with the with owner about check engine light and an oil leak I noticed in the area of repair. I made an appointment with the owner he stated there would be no charge if leak was in the area of repair and the would repair check engine light. I went to pick up my car that evening. I was told the oil leak was next to the area the mechanic worked but he didn't touch that area.They said nothing about check engine engine light. On 12/23/13 I was given a bill for $79.01 and said it would cost me $461.11 to repair. I looked at the car when they worked on it @ 12/23/13 the entire top of engine was taken apart.Desired SettlementDue to the failure of this business to correct my problem, I want a refund or partial return. This car cannot pass inspection based on the current problem. I need to take it to another shop. I was given a year or 12000 mile warranty on this repair.
