I'm sorry to say that our experience with Piston Bikes has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. We ordered a Bike Engine Kit for a gift to our grandson. When he attempted to mount it, they discovered that the wrong sprocket had been sent. Five days after Christmas, he sent an email to [redacted]  [redacted],and after no response, called him. He said to return the wrong sprocket and he would send the correct one. After TWO weeks of no email or sprocket delivery, another email was sent. He replied that he had received the wrong part and needed the order number, which was sent to him. On Jan. 20 he replied that the part would be sent the next day. On Jan. 30 he was sent another email stating that the part had not arrived yet. On Feb. 3 (2 full months after the original order was placed) ANOTHER email was sent to [redacted] asking where the part was, and he sent a FORM that showed it had been shipped that day.
[redacted] email replies were either non-existent or simple 3-6 word answers. When called on the phone, he acted like he couldn't remember the problem, then said, "Oh yeah, I'll get that out tomorrow" -- which ended up being 2 weeks and several prompts later.
We have no idea if the actual bike kit will own up to the great reviews on Piston Bikes web site because it hasn't been installed & tried yet.
But the very poor SERVICE will keep us from using them again.

Contacted the customer directly, apologized for the over site and delay. Shipping out replacement product to satisfy his complaint. Customer seemed happy with outcome.

Review: On December 27, 2013 I, Daniel Prosser ordered a 1-1/8" Mega Fork from Piston Bikes. The order No. is 18105. Upon opening the box to check out the fork for any damages. On one of the spring bases when welded it was welded to hot and part of the material was melted away. The other spring base was welded perfectly with no issues noticeable. to me the inferior weld was unacceptable as the fork was going on a motorized bicycle.I promptly put it back in the box and shipped it back within the 7 day return policy. After Piston Bikes received the fork back I received a phone call. During this conversation I was asked as to why I was returning the mega fork. I said that I felt that on one of the spring bases the weld was inferior because material had been melted away during the welding process. He looked at the fork and told me that they were all welded that way. I said that this was unacceptable to me and my phone went click and there wasn't anyone one the other end. I thought to myself how rude. Never was I asked how can I make this right. I've sent several emails without any responses. I've called twice and talked to Greg and explained my situation and I was told he'd look into it and call me back and again no calls. The last time I called and spoke with Greg he told me that Rob handles all the refunds and he'd put a note on his computer because he'd just left to get his kids. again no response. Here we are in the beginning of May 2014 and I haven't received a replacement fork or a refund on my credit card. Is this any way to handle your business practices? Again to me this is unacceptable treatment.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund because I'm always told by Greg they don't have any in stock.
