Review: To Whom It May Concern,On April 11, 2014, I hired Pittman Restoration to tear off and replace my roof. I'm still awaiting the warranty for the work that has been completed and I'm experiencing a leak coming into my house. I've called several times and left many messages and no one has returned any of my phone calls; they've actually turned their phone off after a number of tries. Its very cruel that I'm a widow and I have been taken advantage of by this company.Who is here to protect consumers against dishonest contractors? What type of assistance can you offer to get me to obtain my warranty and get the leak repaired?I would like to thank you in advance for your assistance regarding this matter. Please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####Kindest Regards, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my warranty and I would like for my roof to be repaired and the leaking to stop! Water is coming into my house. This is very annoying and upsetting to have to deal with this especially after they have received $24,460.50, payment in full!

Review: In November 2014, Pittman Restoration was hired to complete repairs on a flat roof which sustained damage from a hurricane.

In March 2016, a home inspection was performed, revealing that the flashing at the base of the north gable end, where it joined the flat roofing should be improved. The report further stated that the current configuration/lack of flashing would be prone to rot and leakage.

Pursuant to the inspection report, a new contractor was hired to perform the necessary repairs identified in the report. In the performance of repairs, the new contractor advised of shoddy workmanship from the current configuration, including rotten wood which was simply covered up and several other notable issues. In addition, it was learned that a torch-down roofing system was not installed, contrary to what was stated in an invoice of work to be performed.Desired Settlement: The complainant requests a refund in full for work performed, less the amount for the cost of materials which were deemed to be appropriate and necessary by a reasonable, knowledgeable, and licensed roofing contractor. An itemized receipt(s) would be required identifying the cost of such necessary materials.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Pittman Restoration, LLC regarding complaint ID 11303805, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: A representative from the company contacted me shortly after the Revdex.com sent over the formal complaint. We discussed the complaint as well as a proposed remedy; however, no action has been made by Pittman since our initial conversation. I requested an itemized receipt for appropriate materials that were purchased for use in the flat roof repair. I've yet to receive this documentation. I also informed the representative that I would like to request a refund in full minus the cost of materials that were indeed appropriate. (Inappropriate materials are those materials that should not have been used in repairs).

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: I hired Pittman to replace my roof after checking the Revdex.com site and references given me by Pittman. The roof was completed in May/June of 2014. They were paid in full by me and my insurance company. After the roof was replaced the roof leaked around my fireplace in my living room. I called several times and they sent someone out to repair. It continued to leak and still not repaired. I called and left messages that it was still leaking. Then the phone was disconnected. I have emailed, called and tried to reach them many times. I left messages on a number that I found in the paper work with no response. I have also emailed and tried contact Tim S[redacted] who was employed by Pittman. No response. My roof is still leaking. My living room continues to be damaged and it is getting worse. Also a roofer was at my neighbor's home and said that the flashing is incorrectly installed and is causing the leaking.I have all paper work to support my claim. I have all paperwork from my homeowners showing it was all paid in full.Desired Settlement: -- I want a reputable roofer to repair the damage on the exterior and interior-- and I'd like to compensated/refunded for the cost incurred to do the repairs
