Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
In response to the salon's owner's comments, let me say this:
In no way was I looking for something for nothing! To insinuate that I asked about a manicure after "Every finger was polished" is nothing but insulting! No surprise there, considered how I was treatedForgive me for asking questions from a so called "professional" employed at such a long standing, and reputable business
I was very clear about the fact that this was only the second time I had ever had this doneI didn't know I needed to educate myself on nail care before I wentThere used to be a time in this country when a consumer could expect to be able to count on service based business to advise a consumer, and take care of the customerIn good faith I suppose I should've known what I was dealing with when a minute job wound up taking well over hours, because my nail professional had to undo, then redo the entire job
I suppose this salon has so many clients that it is no longer a necessity to be polite to customers, much less professionalI will never patronize this business again, and have advised everyone I know professionally and personally about my experience here

To whom this may concern,
I am the owner of the salon, I verified that this lady was in the salon on Saturday January 25th. When she was in my salon, she asked my staff if she needed a manicure each time she got a gel color change. This was the second time she got the gel polished done....

Usually, when a customer keeps asking a question like this, we think that she wants to save money by not going to get the manicure done unless we say that we can not do the gel polish without a manicure. My staff felt that she did not need to get her manicure done. If she did not agree with him she could still ask him for a manicure. As she said in her complaint that there was a problem while we polished. I fixed her nails and she was satisfied and I promised her that I would fix her polishes if they ever came off again next week.
The following Monday she came back, I was ready to fix her nails but she said the gel polish did not come off. She asked why the polish was not closed up to the cuticle. I told her it was because she did not get a manicure done. I said to her:"as you were here yesterday" she was right away interrupted me and said:" yesterday was Sunday. You did not open on Sunday remember ? " I got frustrated from her interruption and that was why I said :" I am not rded not knowing that I don't open on Sunday" then I told her:" as you were here a few days ago I charged your service $22 total. This bill was not included a manicure service. It would be $32 with the manicure service.  You would need a manicure service to have the cuticle pushed back and trimmed in order for the polish to close up to the cuticle. Since I did not charge you for the service I would not responsible to fix it." I would fix it if she would pay for that extra manicure service. She refused to pay anything extra and wanted it to be fixed. I told her I could not fix her nail if I did not charge her. How is this being fair to me?
She claimed she wanted all $25 back which she did mentions $3 was for the tips. Why does she still want $25. Isn't it only $22?
I have been in this business for over 10 years. We have lots of satisfied clients who have been with us from the beginning. We never get a complaint.
I will appreciate if I can have a fair solution from Revdex.com. Please let me know what I should do with this complaint.
Thank you very much for your time and thank you for giving me the opportunity to respond.

Review: On Jan 25,2014 I called and spoke with the owner and scheduled an appointment for a gel nail color polish change and manicure. My appointment was scheduled for 12:30. A gentleman named [redacted] (who was helping out for the day) He took off my old nail polish and during the procedure I asked him specifically if a manicure was needed each time you change the nail color. I explained this is only the second time I was getting a gel polish. He said its probably better every other time. But he will examine my nails after the polish was off to see if he felt I needed one for this visit. He said it wasn't needed. The first nail color that he tried was bubbling and wrinkling (after he put it on me) so he said the polish was not good and asked me to pick another color. The 2nd color this happened again and the owner came over to try and to help. I was in the chair for 2 hours. The owner was drilling and polishing until it looked ok. I asked her if it starts chipping can I come back due to the problem with the polish and she ok. Sunday they were closed. On Monday I went in because the polish was not flush up against the cuticle (didn't cover the whole nail. ). When I asked for a repair she asked if I thought she was a rd and asked why I thought she should work for nothing. She said its bc I didn't have a manicure that the separation happened. I trusted her professional staff to give me an honest opinion and now the gel nail manicure was ruined and now won't last for 2 weeks or more. . I explained that I made the appointment for a manicure and polish but trusted her staff for a professional opinion. She said that she doesn't have a problem fixing it but she will charge me. I told her that I was very dissatisfied . She also wanted to give me [redacted]'s number at another salon to fix what was messed up at her salon.Very unsatisfactory service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the money I paid for this service. $17 for the new polish $5 for old polish removal and $3 for tip. Total bill $25 [redacted] was very embarrassed and kept on apologizing. That's why I gave a tip.
