Review: I own a Whirlpool electric range and had a problem with the heating elements so I looked in the local Yellow Pages to find a telephone number for a Whirlpool service center. I found the following listing with telephone number: "Whirlpool Service Center .... ###-###-####". So I called and scheduled a service call. The service person arrived but didn't seem to know very much about my electric range and, in fact, I had to assist him in connecting a new heating element properly. At any rate, the service call plus parts/labor cost me $251.45. Over the Christmas holiday the oven on this electric range didn't appear to be working properly so I looked on the internet and found another number to call for service that was called the Whirlpool Customer Service Center (###-###-####). I called and described the problem to the person I reached and told her that I would prefer not to have the same service people come that had come previously because I didn't think they were competent and she asked for their telephone number. She looked them up and to my surprise, but not totally unexpected, she said that this company was not certified as a Whirlpool Service Repair Center. So why is their number listed as "Whirlpool Service Center"?? To me this is a form of false and/or misleading advertising that should not be allowed. My service from this company was of an inferior quality and I now know part of the reason why. This is my complaint and some effort should be made to correct this misleading/false advertising. Furthermore, the service person replaced, with my assistance, one of the heating elements but there was no improvement in the way the electric range functioned. I believe that there was no real need to replace this element and had the service person been certified and properly trained by Whirlpool, he would have known not to replace the element. Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would appreciate a total refund of the monies paid for my service repair since I believe it was service rendered under false and misleading pretenses and this service center should have made it clear that even though they may repair some Whirlpool Appliances, they are not a Certified Whirlpool Repair Center. Their shoddy work is evidence.

Review: Called Pitt Service Center to repair a latch on a door that was not properly closing on an LG Washer. The repairman showed up, proceeded to take the entire door apart, which had nothing to do with the latch on the door. Repairman took so many pieces apart, including the glass bowl on the door, that he had trouble putting it back together. After taking all the pieces apart on the door, he realized that the parts that were taken off the door had nothing to do with the latch. He got the door put back together, and the door now would close, and he determined that the latch is on a spring that must have been slightly bent, but now aligned to close properly. I was only billed a service call of $63.60 since there was no parts replaced. After using the washer 2 times, the entire glass bowl on the door shattered. There were shards of glass everywhere, on the floor, in the washer, intertwined in the clothing inside the washer. I called the company, told them what happened, and demanded to speak to the owner. I was told that someone would call me back. After calling several more times, because now they're avoiding my calls, I have to seek another repairman to come and fix the door. The glass bowl on the door breaking is clearly their fault. They didn't need to take the door entirely apart and the inexperience of the repairman clearly shows that. The fact that the company won't call me back and stand behind their work, leaves me only to find another repairman to come and fix my door.Desired Settlement: Cost to repair the door is approximately $200 for a new door and another $100 for a repairman to install the new door. I have not received the exact figures but that's what was quoted to me over the phone. So I'm seeking approximately $300 plus tax.
