Review: Pittsburgh Watercraft had my boat all winter to work on. I called different times to check on progress. Kept telling me part on back order. But they finally fixed it around march. I called to pick boat up and Fred owner said didn't have boat and that I never left it there to be repaired. After driving me crazy. He finally addimited to having boat. I went to business, paid and took boat home. After checking boat out, I seen that my storage bin and two storage bottles were missing. I called many times before getting someone on the phone. He first said couldn't find parts. I kept calling and was told parts were sitting in front of him as we spoke. Said would be shipped out. Never received. Called many more times and got Freds son [redacted]. He said his dad sent them out. Then there was a message on my answering machine saying just go and buy them somewhere. I called back and talked to [redacted] and I said if the parts were sent to me what is the tracking number and company. [redacted] said he will ask his dad Fred to call. Never got call back. I started calling every day since with no body answering the phone. I left messages on answering machine saying since you haven't sent me my parts send me a check for parts and something for all this aggravation. I have never heard back. Still keep calling!Desired Settlement: Apparently they put my parts into someone else's boat or lost my parts. I think I should get a check for at least $200. Because now I'm going to have to buy theses parts new or really have to look around to find good used ones which is not easy to do!

Review: In the early summer of 2012, I took my 2005 Seadoo RXP to [redacted] at Pittsburgh Watercraft to rebuild the engine. [redacted] assured me he could repair the ski and return it to me by Labor Day 2012 with a 1 year warranty on repairs. He also informed me he would provide all receipts and details as to parts and repair. At this time, he charged my credit card approximately $2600 (no receipt was provided, so I need to get transactional details from the credit card company as to the exact amount paid and in what date) to cover the full cost of the rebuild. Over the course of the next two years, I was given several excuses as to why there were delays in the repairs., I. e., the original crank case could not be repaired, so [redacted] found a used crank case that could be welded, and he would charge an additional $200. I agreed, as I was unaware of another option even though the original amount paid was to cover all repairs. At the beginning of summer 2014, I was told the ski was repaired and required a 10 hour break in period before I could pick up. It took [redacted] the entire summer to get through said break in period, at which point in time he informed me he had a buyer (as it had been my intent all along to sell when repaired). They "buyer" was a long time friend of [redacted]'s, and we could not make any progress though several contradicting conversations with both [redacted] and "buyer." At the point in time I got frustrated and wanted to pick up my ski, [redacted] said he had pulled the engine back out of the ski for mods wanted by the buyer - even though I had no purchase agreement with the new buyer, and buyer denied requesting any mods (as I am still the title holder and was not paid for any sale of the ski). At this point in time, I could no longer receive a response from the "buyer," and [redacted] informed me he would have the ski repaired in a week, as he was waiting on yet another part. It has since been three weeks with no response from [redacted]. I have doubts that the ski was ever repaired in the first place.Desired Settlement: Ultimately, I would like to have my jet ski returned in the originally promised condition (engine rebuilt with 1 year warranty). If [redacted] was unable to repair the ski as promised, I am requesting a full refund plus returned jet ski, trailer, and all parts.

Review: Our jet ski (2009 Honda ARX15T39 AquaTrax F-15X Turbo 3-Pass) was sitting in our yard prior to the summer when we decided to get it ready for the water. Upon inspection of the jet ski we had noticed that the rear propeller had been stolen out of the back of the jet ski. Our jet ski was dropped off at Pittsburgh Watercraft Performance in June of 2013 for replacement of parts and repair. After being in contact with the shop owner and our insurance company on many occasions no further progress was being made. The shop owner repeatedly informed me that he sent all the necessary paperwork to the insurance company and that he was awaiting a response. After checking with the insurance company, they had no record or had received nothing from Pittsburgh Watercraft regarding our jet ski. This debacle continued back and forth for a 15 month period. Finally I made the decision to remove my jet ski from Pittsburgh Watercraft and take it elsewhere for the work to be done. However, upon arrival to the shop I found my jet ski had been moved off of its trailer, in which my trailer was not even in sight, and the jet ski and been completely torn down. Repairs were to be done on the back propeller of the jet ski. Upon inspection the engine was completely ripped to pieces, parts and cardboard boxes everywhere inside the engine compartment, the dashboard had been removed, speedometer/odometer missing, battery compartment stripped and filled with random pieces and an old oil can. Along with the complete tear down of the ski itself; poor care was taken to protect the jet ski from weather damage. Pictures were taken by myself and a discussion was held via cell phone with the shop owner who "assured" me everything was being done properly and he had "permission" to tear it down from the insurance company, of which the insurance company denies. What happened to this near new jet ski (32 hours on the water) was disgraceful and a shame.Desired Settlement: When bought brand new the jet ski cost around $14,000 dollars (MSRP was $13,999). With the limited wear and tear on the jet ski of only 32 hours on the water and the pristine care given to the jet ski off of the water, as mentioned before, was in great condition. With a current KBB value of about $6,435. I can only estimate the worth of our jet ski at the time of which we took it in for repairs would be around $8,000-9,000. We have received no reimbursement from the shop nor insurance company.
