07/29/2016*** * *** and *** *** Purchased a *** *** from Auto Sales on 04/19/The car was sold with day or mile driveline warrantyThe *** had 150,miles on it at the time of purchaseThe only time the vehicle was brought to Auto sales
for repairs was on 06/15/with 158,miles The vehicle was checked and the codes in the computer showed excessive overheatingThe cooling system was checked and was and found either the headgaskets were blown or the engine block was crackedWe priced a used motor and labor to replace it, the estimate was $The vehicle was no longer cover under warranty because the days had passed and they had driven the vehicle milesI am not sure what arrangements Jill would like to work out but we are always willing to listen.Jeff P***Manager

*** and *** *** purchased a *** *** from Auto Sales on 11/18/After leaving with their new car the check engine light came onThey called back to the dealership and were asked to come back so we could do a quick evaluation of what caused the lightUpon returning
the *** was scanned showing a #cylmisfireThere was no indication the the vehicle was misfiring so the code was cleared and they were instructed if the light came back on to return on Monday when we vwould have more time to check into the problemThey did return on Monday and dropped the car off for us to look atWe checked the performance of the coil packs and spark plugsChecked electrical connections to all related parts, cleared the code and test drove the car for approximately miles (Doulble the distance normally needed for a check engine light to come on) and no check engine lightThe car was picked up the following morningThe check engine light did come back on for the ***'sWe made another appointment to further check the carThe car was dropped off and we again scanned it for codesThe code was different than before, no #cylmissfire code but a generic codeWe again began the process of trying to find the source of the codesince it was an intermitent problem we connected a scanner to the vehicle to the vehicle capable of recording data while the car was being drivenNothing showed up during the intial mile test driveJeff soke to *** and learned the problem appeared after a longer trip to Quakertown. The computer was attached again and the vehicle driven over miles with no check engine lightJeff spoke to *** again when he stated he would rather leave the car and make sure everything was okThe car was taken for another mile ride with no issuesWe called rentchler Chevrolet and scheduled an appointment to see if they could shed light on this intermittent problem*** called at am saying he was minutes away and would light to pick up the carJeff explained the plan with Rentchler but met with continued resitanceOut of frustration he said stop being an as.( an unfortunate inappropriate comment)We have done everything possible to solve the problem experienced by the ***'s with there car even though it was not covered by the warranty included with the purchaseIntermittent problems are the most difficult to find and often take more time to findWe have never asked for any money for the work we performed only for enough time to be able to diagnose the problemHopefully they will afford that oppurtunity to whomever they decide to have work on there vehicle in the future Jeff

*** * *** purchased a *** *** from Auto SalesThe car was sold "AS IS" because of the price*** called saying he was having a problem with the transmissionWe offered to check the car free of charge so we would both have the information needed to make a decision on the best
course of action*** has failed to leave his car for two scheduled appointmentsWe have tried and will continue to try to help him but he needs to take the first step

*** * *** purchased a *** *** at Auto Sales on 02/17/There was a day limited warranty included with the sale priceThere was a total of $put down toward the car($total fees and $principal)During the time she owned the car
she has had several problemsThe car developed a fuel leakShe brought the car in we did the repair for her (at no charge) and she was on the road againWe were told the tailpipe came loose and fell off, the car was not brought to us for repairs and most recently she experienced a problem with loss of powerShe brought the car to us and was given a price to replace a clogged catalytic convertor*** decided to take the car elsewhere and have her exhaust problem fixed for a cheaper price and the bring the cart back for the inspection*** took the car home and could not restart it later that dayShe agreed to have the car towed back to Auto SalesWe received authorization this morning to complete the repairs properlyWe have tried to help overcome problems as they arose for ***With any mechanical item there are bound to be breakdowns from time to timeIf we could buy a year old car and have it be perfect no one would ever buy a new carThe car has been driven over miles (at purchase, now)making me believe the car has been able to be used for its intended purpose during the time she owned it.Jeff P***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:We are not disputing your *** *** warranty, we are disputing the fact that the problems happened within the first 4-weeks that we had the vehicle. We had no choice to repair the vehicle ourselves the first time it overheated because it was a weekend and we need to get to work on Monday; and since you don't offer any type of rental/loaner service we did what we had to do to in order to be able to use the vehicle. The vehicle should not have overheated in the first place and not to mention all the other issues. Example: passenger rear brake was not even installed on the vehicle! We pulled off the lot and the passenger airbag light was on. The list goes on. We traded in a vehicle with more miles on it, and that showed no signs of overheating or any problems other than the starter that we made you aware of at the time of the trade. Not to mention we put $2,down + $2,for the trade and we still financed the amount you were asking for??? I guess my math skills are a little different than yours. This issue needs to be fixed because I can not keep borowing vehicles from friends and family, and keep paying for a vehicle for the next years that I can't drive! Any reputable company would make good for their faulty service and sales practices. Stop disputing the milage of the vehicle because that's not the main issue here. The vehicle needs to be fixed and your company needs to make good for it.Regards,*** ***

04-09-2016*** and *** *** purchased a *** *** truck from Auto Sales on 02-24-for $10,After the purchase the ***'s took the truck for an oil change and were refused stating the oil pan was rustedThe truck was brought back to Auto Sales where the oil pan was
replaced and $of fuel added to check the “overflowing fuel problem'The truck was returned to the ***'s with no chargeThe truck was then taken to a muffler shop in Tunkhannock, PA where they had the entire truck checked and were given a list of "faulty' itemsThe truck was again returned to Auto Sales with the listAll of the items on the list were replaced with new parts at no charge to the ***a'sThe items on the list that were replaced were acknowledged by *** by initialing and signing a copy of the muffler shops repair order. The ***a's took the truck back to the same muffler shop that now came up with a whole new list of faulty itemsI am not sure what mclted wire were “found' but it seems odd if there was a fire under the truck and all these wires were melted that all of the electrical items on the truck were working,I printed out book values from NADA and *** Blue Book showing the value of the truck purchased, and also a book value of the value if it were a dieselI believe this shows the price paid for the truck is justifiedAuto Sales has done everything possible to be fair and accommodate the ***'sThe fact that a shop in good conscience come up with a $repair bill of items “missed” (or fabricated) a week earlier would be my concern.Jeff P.Manager

I spoke with *** and no appointment was ever made for our carTheir was no issue with Jeff taking the car over their my husband asked who was going to take care of that bill, that is when Jeff yelled and cursed at my husband over the phoneMy husband had it on speaker phoneMy husband said that if he was coming for the car due to the fact Jeff was angry, he did not want anything to happen to the carI just want to take it to our garage tomorrow and 443auto be responsible to pay for the fixWe did not do payments we paid the car in full by a personal checkWe make it not even minutes away and it has issues, we have spoken with a lawyer as well on this matterThe lawyer thought taking it to a garage we know and having them check it would be the best thing and then we can go from theirAgain, no appointment was made with *** I called and questioned that

***s reasoning does not make sense to meShe states we did nothing to solve her problem with the carWe offered , on more than one occasion to make an appointment for her so we could repair the carEach time she rejected the offer saying she could not give up her carShe instead took the car to a mechanic of her choosing where she spent money for repairs that did nor correct the problemShe neglected to make all of her payments on the vehicle even after being contacted by phone with remindersWe can not help anyone unless we are given the opportunity to do so*** did not give us that opportunityWe also have bills to pay which we rely on customers promised paymentsThere are no lending institutions that allow customers to keep driving their cars if they deliberately do not make the payments

08/02/2016Time and mileage restriction are put into contracts so everyone knows what they are covered for and for how longI am sorry if a hose blew on the *** ***The truck was not brought back to us for the repairThe truck was brought to us after it had been driven nearly milesThe warranty at that point was expiredthe fact that the truck was driven that many miles before it overheated makes me believe it was not there when the truck was purchased.Jeff P***Manager

The camshaft sensor gives the engine the information to set the timing for the vehicleThe car would not be running and driving if the camshaft sensor was badWe have tested the sensor since the car was brought here and it tested fineThe sensor was purchased at Advanced Auto Parts, if it was deffective they would replace it at no chargeJeff

[redacted] purchased a 2004 [redacted] from 443 Auto Sales on 05-01-2017 for $1995. The vehicle was purchased "As-Is" with no warranty. [redacted] experienced a no start problem shortly after purchasing the car. The car was towed back to 443 Auto Sales where we found it needed a crank sensor. the...

sensor was replaced and the vehicle returned to customer at no charge. A few weeks later [redacted] called saying he was having a difficult time starting the car. [redacted] again brought the car back to 443 Auto for repairs. The car was checked and was found to have a  problem with camshaft positioning sensor. [redacted] was informed and and given an estimate for the repair. He agreed to have the repair performed. The car was repaired and [redacted] paid the bill when he picked up the car. [redacted] inquired about trading the vehicle because no one in the family could drive it due to being a standard shift. We we unable to do this because he was due a payment and would need to cover tax and transfer fees which he said he could not come up with. [redacted] called saying the car would not start and that he was told that the camshaft sensor was in need of replacement again. The tow truck driver arrived at the house to pick up the car and the car started for him. The car was towed in and had continued to start over the next several days. I believe we have tried very hard to help [redacted] with his transportation needs and feel this may be more of a case of buyers remorse for purchasing a standard shift car.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
They sold me a vehicle that was undriveable after telling me that the car was in "good condition, not great". The car was absolutely undriveable. When I brought the car in and asked for a refund, I was asked to leave the office. I just want my money back for the down payment. They refuse to give me that. The only option they gave me is to pay them to repair the car. So, I pay them for the car, and then pay them more to fix the car. All I want is a refund for my $800 down payment. I just want this nightmare of a car-buying experience to be over.
Regards,
[redacted]

[redacted]'s complaint is not accurate. He drove the car to the dealership after he told us that he thought the transmission was bad. We told him we would check the car mechanically for him(at no charge). [redacted] wanted nothing to do with having the car checked, he left again driving the car. [redacted] made another appointment by E-Mail witch he never showed up for. We received a notification the insurance was cancelled. We contacted [redacted] about this and he said he cancelled it. We had the car towed to the dealership. The towing company said he had no problem moving and driving the car onto the rollback. we checked it for the transmission problem and found it was a little low on fluid. The fluids were topped off and the car test driven with no issues with the transmission. The exhaust has been damaged(partially torn off). [redacted] has also missed his first payment for the car. Jeff

[redacted] purchased a 2007 [redacted] from [redacted] on 10/26/17. The car did come with a 30 day 1500 mile warranty. [redacted] brought the car back two weeks after her purchase with a drivability issue. We tried to schedule an appointment for her but she refused, even though the car was...

under warranty. She instead took it to a garage of her choice. She had repairs done that did not remedy her problem. [redacted] called [redacted] to remind her of her obligation to make her monthly payments and to see if she wanted to make an appointment for her car, she again informed us that she could not drop the car off for repairs but promised to make a payment on the car 12/22/2017. The payment was never made. The car was repossessed in January of 2018 after the first 3 monthly payments were missed. [redacted] rejected [redacted]'s offer to partially catch up on her payments if we would release the car back to her. We feel her disregard of her responsibilities left us no choice.  Jeff

Well them to replace it the same person Jeff bought it from told me it was bad they had it hooked up to there computer same people he bought it from is telling me it's bad
