On September 5, 2014, Ms. [redacted] initially brought her car in
due to a warning light. We performed an electronic diagnostic on her vehicle
and informed her that her abs computer is bad and it needed to be replaced. We
quoted her a price of a new abs computer. At the time, the cost was a...

over $1,700, plus the cost of labor and brake fluid.  Ms. [redacted] did not have the funds to purchase a
new abs computer. She inquired if we were able to locate a used abs computer
for her at a reasonable price and let her know once we do find one. We informed
her that a used abs computer comes with a 30 day warranty on the part only. She
agreed to that. We also waived the $98 diagnostic fee for her.
Once we located the used abs computer, we notified her and
required a deposit prior to ordering the used abs computer. She came in, made
the deposit, and we ordered the part for her.
On September 29, 2014, Ms. [redacted] bought the car in for us to
install the used abs computer. After we installed it, it did not function
properly. At this time we informed her to get a new abs computer and we would credit the amount she paid for the used abs computer towards a new one, in which, she
stated she still did not have the funds to do so. Ms. [redacted] also told us that she would have to set up a time to bring her vehicle back.
In the interest of keeping a satisfied customer, we told Ms. [redacted] we would install a second used abs
computer for her, at no charge, as a one-time courtesy.
After months went by, she called to inform us that she was bringing her car back in. We got the company to warranty the part because she returned after the warranty coverage had expired. Once we installed the second used abs computer, we informed Ms. [redacted] that
if this one did not work, we were not going to install another used abs
computer, and she would have to buy a new one.
We have not heard from her in regards to this matter until
now.Ms. [redacted]'s total price was $816.76, including labor and tax.

Ms. [redacted] accepted and agreed to our proposed settlement of the $200 payment as a resolution that concludes this issue.
