After reviewing the repair and the previous work order I have determined this repair should be under warranty The service writer and technician that performed the tasks no longer work for me That has caused addtional research to confirm what was going on My apologies for a repair that did not work, we will replace the manifold with a new one at no cost, as quickly as we can get parts As always, we stand behind what we do, as we warranty our work for Months, Miles.John Nesmith Owner

To whom it may concern: Our warranty states that the customer has to return to our facility in order for warranty repairs to be done If the customer did not feel comfortable with that, they should have called 1st and had gotten some kind of authorization to have someone else fix it I would like to come to a fair conclusion to this complaint, and would like to help the customer It's my understanding, the car is continuing to have more problems after the mechanic that "fixed" the issue outlined in the complaint filed I would be happy to look at the car, at no cost, to determine, what is the issue, and be able to proceed with a solution agreed upon by both parties Just a note: We have a year, 36,mile warranty on our repairs Sincerely John N [redacted] Owner, Meridian Automotive

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: The initial repair done by Meridian Auto bent the crankshaft on my car. Since the Meridian Auto repair my car has shredded serpentine belts. I have owned this car for years and I have never had a problem with serpentine belts until Meridian Auto replaced them in March of this year. I took the car back to Meridian Auto twice (times) after the initial repair to see if they could "fix" my car properly. They did the initial serpentine belt replacement on March 17, 2016. I had to return the car for further repairs less than a week later. On March 26, my car broke down in Caldwell after the serpentine belts shredded, and I returned the car to Meridian Auto to have them replace the serpentine belts again (they had just "fixed them on March 17, 2016). The 1st of May the serpentine belts shredded again and so I took the car to Trana Auto who replaced the belts again (3rd time - first by Meridian Auto). The 4th time these serpentine belts shredded I took the car back to Trana Auto where he examined my car very closely and determined that the crankshaft was bent. I have never in years had a problem with my crankshaft or serpentine belts until Meridian Auto replaced the serpentine belts on the car. Since that first repair my serpentine belts keep shredding. It is obvious Meridian Auto did something wrong to cause this problem. It wasn't a problem before they worked on the car. It is a huge problem now. I am not comfortable with Meridian Auto doing anymore repairs on my car. My car is currently with Trana Auto. I will get an estimate from Trana to replace the crankshaft, and I want Meridian Auto to pay for the repairs to the problem they caused.Sincerely,*** ***
