In my frustration today, I asked the Supervisor if the company was run in someone's basement I have had nothing but problems(1) When I switched to the Cobra version of my plan, I was given strict deadlines to sign up and pay for my insurance or risk losing it About two months after everything was supposedly confirmed, I went to use my insurance at the local Pharmacy I had been informed by EBC nothing would change with my Insurance and my old card was still valid I was told by the pharmacist that my insurance had not been active for almost three months, even though-unemployed me-had paid for coverage EBC claimed they told Cigna and Cigna informed me they had no record of EBC's request to continue my benefits I was unable to find out where the money for my cashed checks had gone For the following days, there was a series of calls between EBC and Cigna with lots of finger pointing at who was responsible and what needed to be done I got so fed up with both of them, I arranged a three person phone call Both people needed to escalate the call One of the two got someone on the phone who was not permitted to engage in conversation, while I was on the telephone Eventually my benefits were reinstated but I was never able to use them at the pharmacy The Pharmacist, Cigna and EBC engaged in multiple phone calls and could not sort it out why once my insurance was reinstated, the Pharmacy portal wouldn't acknowledge my coverage(2) Fast forward to November, and months of horror with my Dental plan My former employer informed me that EBC would provide me with the paperwork to upgrade my Dental selection By December 20, I had received nothing and contacted EBC EBC stated I should have received the information from my former employer I forward the notice to my former employer who told me EBC was to provide the information My employer sent me the information days later I called Cigna to confirm the offerings and was readt to make a change Both my employer and Cigna told me to contact EBC to make the changeEBC informed me that I was suppose to make the change via my Employer during Open Enrollment I call the Director of Benefits for my former employer for the two to duel it out over speaker phone My former employer states EBC is to make the change, the EBC rep says my former employer should have made the change My former employer says they will contact their EBC Rep I demand to speak to a supervisor at EBC who tells me that my open enrollment date has not passed, nor does it expire January 1, but it does not expire until January Point of information, Cigna advertises on it's own website a Nov 1-Dec 15, open enrollment periodWhile this company has an online portal with all of the information sent into my traditional mailbox, they are unable to inform or post any notices stating the dates of my enrollment period What a shame, but good for their competition

Horrible customer service!!! Avoid using this companyI have had FSA accounts in the past and they were much easier to submit claimsThey claim to have an electronic submission portal, however once you electronically submit your information you must scan in the written documents to sendIt took phone calls with no help to finally demand to speak with a supervisorI was told numerous times that the supervisor was busy and would call back with no responseI finally was able to speak with the supervisor Sarah when I complained enough, she apparently appeared and was able to get on the phoneThis company is not worth the hassles that they will cause you and your employeesthere are much better companies offering the same services with employees that truly care

EBC has contacted me for each and every transaction I have attempted to make since getting my FSA cardA date and price and location will not doThey need a full description of what occurred, even if what occurred is a routine dental exam for your childUsing "federal guidelines" as a very convenient shield, they behave as if the money in the account is in fact, their moneyI submitted a $invoice from my dentistApparently $of it was a balance from a service that occurred before I had my FSA activeAs such they stated that $of this transaction would not be coveredMy account has nearly $1,in itThere was no notice in these emails that I would have to send a check because since they are a payer on behalf of a client - which is all they are - they could just adjust the paymentInstead they froze my account to the point where I could not even log on and pay myself back $to get my account reinstated so that I could then process a whole other reimbursement (TO MYSELF) for a physical exam my son needed for campThis is a disgraceI pay astronomical premiums for health insurance and then set aside an astronomical amount of money to cover all the insane deductibles and co-pays and then I am informed I can't use it? This process was supposed to help Americans save money on health costsIt is doing the exact oppositeEBC is utilizing operating methods that deter people from paying their bills withwait for ittheir own moneyIt's criminal

Paying for COBRA services which are not being provided

Our employer contracts with EBC to file claims for medical services we have received We have requested reimbursement for additional expenses we have paid and for the outstanding bill that has not been paid by EBC The explanation we received was this was due to a deadline date The service date was on 12/14/and the date our insurance company filed a claim for this service to EBC was on 03/29/16, which is prior to EBC's 3/31/deadline for claims Dr xxx's office submitted the insurance information to our insurance provider, on 1/06/ The insurance company submitted the claim to EBC on 03/29/ On 04/26/16, we received a bill from Drxxx's office for the unpaid bill A phone call was made to EBC to inquire about the unpaid bill EBC explained that claims for are to be filed by 03/31/ EBC processed the claim on 04/08/ Our records document a claim was sent from the insurance company to EBC on 03/29/ The explanation received by EBC is the claim was

I have set up an account with Employee Benefits Corporation for daycareI was very upset to learn that I have to pay my daycare provider, have money taken out of my paycheck and EBC does not reimburse me for a monthThey claim that they cannot pay me until my daycare "dates of service" have passedThis means out of my own pocket I pay my daycare provider (she requires month in advance)Then the money is withdrawn from my paycheck and sits in an account with EBC for month until the "dates of service" have passedSo I am essentially have to pay twice before I am reimbursedThis does not seem rightIf I've already paid, submitted my claim, and had the money taken out of my paycheck, I should be reimbursed right awayI was part of a different Flexible spending account for daycare prior to changing employers and they paid out immediately

I find it outrageous that they want to charge individuals $every time if you make your COBRA payment online!

I have a charge that I am disputing and I need help with and I cannot get anyone to help me with Each time I email I only get a canned response on what their policies are in regards to IRS guidelines They threaten to shut my card off and refuse to work with me on anything
