#449964), this still left the account past due. Due to the account delinquency, the dealership has the right to repossess he vehicle (see attachment), on 1/9/17 the customer voluntarily dropped the vehicle  off at the dealership. At that time the account was $641.79 (approx. 3.5 payments) past due. Repo letters were sent out certified mail on 1/10/17, which were received and signed by [redacted], at the customer's home address listed on his account ( see attachment). The letter advises that the customer retrieve any personal items from the vehicle within 24 hours of receipt of this notice and states that the customer has 21 days to redeem the vehicle. If the vehicle is not redeemed within the 21 day period, it will become the sole possession of the dealership. The customer never paid toward the past due account and therefore the vehicle was sold at Clinton Auto Auction on 2/25/17. According to the Office of the Secretary of State, the vehicle was issued a new title, with Title# [redacted] on 3/21/17 (see attachment). The dealership gave many extra efforts to work with the customer and get the account curren** the customer did not follow through on promise to pays and failed to communicate with the dealership. The vehicle is not registered in [redacted]'s name. It was sold at the auction and the new owner has 21 days to file the registration with the Secretary of State (before penalties accrue) and the Secretary of State has to process the registration before they issue the actual title. To Whom it may Concern:This letter is in response to a complaint that your firm sent to us on 8/21/17. [redacted] purchased a 2006 Hyundai Sonata from our dealership on 5/1/2017. She agreed to make payments of $271.85 per month according to her signed Retail Installment Contract. PJP Auto...

Enterprises is her lien holder and is holding the loan to this vehicle. As part of her financing agreement, there is a GPS with starter disable device that was installed on her vehicle. The terms of her contract state that there is a 5 day grace period with which she is required ti make her payment in full by the 3rd of each month. The penalty for failing to do this is a $10 or 5% late fee, whichever is greater. There is also a GPS agreement that Ms. [redacted] was explained that a condition of this loan was the installation of the device as well as that it could be activated to disable the starter in the event of a delinquent payment or lapse of insurance. In her complaint, Ms. [redacted] mentions that her vehicle was shut down due to a $50 past due balance that she owed. We have worked with Ms. [redacted] on several occasions in regards to delinquency issues with her account. We also made several arrangements with Ms. [redacted] in regards to the specific $50 delinquency that she mentions. She agreed to three prior arrangements that she herself made and broke each of these. As a last resort, her vehicle was disabled until she made the agreed upon payment. At that time, her vehicle was reengaged. She also made mention of not being able to speak to a supervisor when in fact, on each occasion that she made her payment arrangements as well as when she called upset about the vehicle being disabled, she spoke to the Collection Manager whom is the person in charge of all aspects with relation to payment issues. Ms.[redacted] was not happy with the answers that she was given and unfortunately we had exhausted our ability to assist with her issue. We feel that we have been more than accommodation to Ms. [redacted] and have attempted several times to work with her on various issues with her account delinquency. We feel we fulfilled our obligation and have asked only that she fulfill her agreed upon contract. We will not refund Ms. [redacted]'s purchase as we have done and performed our obligation as is stated in her purchase contract. We will however continue to service MS. [redacted]'s account to the best of our ability.Thank you,[redacted]General managerPJP Auto Enterprises3100 S.
