when we are in the neighborhood for some of our customers. Sometimes we have done it at no charge as our schedule permits. I did assign this task to a crew that was working in the neighborhood last summer and was informed that it was done. I did not charge this customer for the service. When he informed me that it was not completed, I told him that we would take care of it when we were in the neighborhood. We have not been in the neighborhood since I spoke with him. If the customer is not willing to wait for free service, he is free to hire anyone he wishes. These issues are why we have this clause in our contracts. Too often, people want us to suspend our daily business activities to give them something for free. I do not mind doing a freebie when it doesn't involve travel and an interruption of our regular business but I do mind people demanding that we do so.
