To Whom It May Concern: Space City Movers was sub-contracted to relocate Ms [redacted] on [redacted] ***The move was completed that day without any complaints to the company at all throughout the process of the moveMs [redacted] was advice by said company that contracted us that the payment method would be either cash, debit, or creditNO personal checks would be accepted for any reasonThe driver that was send out to do the move was a new driver (and has been let go by us due to the claim of Ms [redacted] ) and was not aware that no personal checks would be acceptedMs [redacted] signed the contract and stated that there was damage to her washing machine only (contract attached)The total for the move was $which she paid $in cash and $with a personal check and STILL tip the movers that dayOn June 12th we received a message from Milestone that Ms [redacted] had emailed a claim to them and was going to send them pictures of the damages to some items and that she had stopped payment on the check in the amount of $We were under the impression that Milestone would handle the claim and then charge us for the damages paid out to her as stated in our contract with themWe didn't hear again from Milestone until July 7th regarding her claimOn that same day around 1:35pm we contacted Ms [redacted] and apologized since we weren't aware that her claim had not been processed yet by the companyWe asked her to send the pictures of the damages directly to us and we would start our own process of the claimOn July 11th we scheduled an inspection date for July 19th to have a representative from Space City Movers go and take a closer look at the damages to her itemsOn July 14th Ms [redacted] contacted us to let us know that she was working from home and if we could send someone out that day to inspect the damages insteadA representative was sent and we told her that we would have someone that repairs wood contact her to schedule a day when he can go to start the repair processOn July 24th a representative was sent and told Ms [redacted] what could be repaired and what couldn't be repairedHe stated that the items that could be repaired would need to be taken to the warehouse to be repairedHe told her he would contact her to see what would be a best date for him to go and pick up the itemsSpace City Movers tried to send a crew out to pick up her items so that the process would go faster, but Ms [redacted] refused to have one of our crews pick the items up stating that she didn't trust them and didn't want her items to get damaged moreOn July 28th Ms [redacted] contacted us to let us know that no one from the company we hired to fix her damages had yet gone to pick up her items to be repairedOn that day we offered Ms [redacted] a settlement for the items that could NOT be repaired in the amount of $(minus the $that was paid due to the check that was cancelled by her) and contacted the owner of the company we hired to personally call Ms [redacted] to schedule a pick up date for the itemsMs [redacted] refused the settlement that was offer to her and stated that she was going to seek legal representationOn that same day we contacted Milestone (the company that sub-contracted us) to let them know that Ms [redacted] had decided to seek legal representationWe were advised by Milestone NOT to have any further communication with herOn August 4th Ms [redacted] emailed us again letting us know that she refused the settlement and that her and her attorney were prepared to file a motion against Space City Movers and MilestoneAgainst the advice of Milestone we still tried to settle the claim with Ms [redacted] On August 8th we asked her if she would be available on Tuesday, August 12th so that someone from the repair company could go and pick up the damages itemsShe said she couldn't miss workWe tried to schedule for that upcoming Saturday and she said she wasn't available eitherAgain, we offered for one of our trusted crews to go and pick up the items on the day and time she could be available and she refusedStating that she didn't trust our crews and she no longer trusted the repair company's crew either since they had not kept up with the agreed day of the pick upThat she no longer wanted her items being taken anywhereShe then called our office (Space City Movers) to basically vent (profanity involved) regarding the situationWe didn't hear from her againWe would like to state that we went out of our way to try and settle the claim as best as we could with what we could doWe were even told that we should've never taken the claim since FULL PAYMENT wasn't made for the moveEven after she stated that she was seeking legal representation and we were advised not to have further communication with her, we still tried to work with Ms [redacted] We are still willing to have her items repaired and settle for the items that couldn't be repaired for the amount that was offeredIt states in the contract (attached), which she signed, kept a copy, and we emailed to her again), that the standard insurance coverage is $per lb is included at no extra charge for any damages or loss to household itemsIt also states that we have up to days to issue credit for damages or have repairs madeWe value our customers and go above and beyond what the contract states to try and repaid any damages that our crew members causeWe try to handle our claims as best as we can and try our hardest to work with the customer to matter what the circumstance may beWe hope that we can work this issue out with Ms [redacted] in the best way possible with positive attitudesWe do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and know that we are open to still settle this claimThank you

Space City Movers was sub-contracted to relocate Ms. [redacted] on [redacted]. The move was completed that day without any complaints to the company at all throughout the process of the move. Ms. [redacted] was advice by said company that contracted us...

that the payment method would be either cash, debit, or credit. NO personal checks would be accepted for any reason. The total for the move was $460 which she paid $340 in cash and $120 with a personal check and STILL tip the movers that day. On June 12th we received a message from Milestone that Ms. [redacted] had emailed a claim to them and was going to send them pictures of the damages to some items and that she had stopped payment on the check in the amount of $120.00. We were under the impression that Milestone would handle the claim and then charge us for the damages paid out to her as stated in our contract with them. We didn't hear again from Milestone until July 7th regarding her claim. Ms. [redacted] refused the settlement that was offer to her and stated that she was going to seek legal representation. On that same day we contacted Milestone (the company that sub-contracted us) to let them know that Ms. [redacted] had decided to seek legal representation. We were advised by Milestone NOT to have any further communication with her. On August 4th Ms. [redacted] emailed us again letting us know that she refused the settlement and that her and her attorney were prepared to file a motion against Space City Movers and Milestone. We are still willing to have her items repaired and settle for the items that couldn't be repaired for the amount that was offered. It states in the contract (attached), which she signed, kept a copy, and we emailed to her again), that  the standard insurance coverage is $0.60 per lb is included at no extra charge for any damages or loss to household items. It also states that we have up to 60 days to issue credit for damages or have repairs made. We value our customers and go above and beyond what the contract states to try and repaid any damages that our crew members cause. We try to handle our claims as best as we can and try our hardest to work with the customer to matter what the circumstance may be. We hope that we can work this issue out with Ms. [redacted] in the best way possible with positive attitudes. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and know that we are open to still settle this claim. Thank you.
