Okay here is my experienceOver a month ago (8-13-2016) I was looking for a truck and went in to Planet (Dodge) CDJR to try and stay local and test drove a vehicle that I likedDid some negotiating and (THEIR) sales person came to a number that I liked but I wanted to wait a day to think about it and see if I could get a better dealThey said they would call me on Monday and that was a SaturdayNo call on Monday so I called them later that weekI said that I would take the deal and they asked if I got it in writing, I knew at that point they would not honor the numbers THEIR sales person came toSo I started calling around and doing internet searches and talked to Earnhardt CDJR in PhoenixThey also came to a number that I liked so I called Planet CDJR back to see if they would price match as they advertisedThey would not but they did come to a number that would save me the drive to PhoenixThis is over the course of a month of negotiating at this pointThe sales person at Earnhardt CDJR told me to be very careful and make sure it's the correct truck because he used to work there and knew about some of there tacticsI wrote it off as them just trying to get my businessSo I go in to get my truck and they said it was getting detailed so let's do the paperwork and it would be waiting for meAll paperwork is done and I go to drive away and it was a different truck, (the old switch-a-roo)Of course after telling them we went in to try and figure out went happenThey had sold the truck I was negotiating for and never told meThen they replaced it with a truck that was of lesser valueI asked to compare MSRP reports of the truck I wanted and wanted and the truck they tried to switch it withThey refusedAfter a back and forth of "how are you going to fix this" they offered me floor matsI laughed and said to get my money back, which they didI then call Earnhardt CDJR to see if their deal was still good and they said yesI drove to Phoenix and got the truck I wanted for $less with a free oil changeEarnhardt Dodge treated me great and was 100% correct about the business practices of Planet Dodge in Flagstaff I will be contacting the Revdex.com, USAA Bank, Navy Federal Credit Union and National Bank of AZ to let them know how Planet Dodge does business

I bought my *** *** *** here and have had it serviced there for almost 70,miles in only a year and a halfI wasn't really impressed with the buying experience (especially the financing part) but the service has been even worseThe oil and fuel filter changes take almost a full day and cost dollarsOne of the service guys tried to justify the cost by saying there is a bunch of stuff above the engine fuel filter that has to be removed to get to it, but when I crawled under the truck and looked I could see that the fuel filter could easily be accessed from the bottom with out removing anythingThey have forgot to reset my oil or fuel filter change reminder on separate occasionsAfter one of the fuel filter changes I heard a noise coming from under my truck and when I crawled under there I discovered the fuel tank heat shield had ripped and was rubbing on my drive shaft, this was located just a couple feet away from the frame fuel water separator that they had just serviced so either the tech did not do any kind of inspection under the truck or noticed the issue and ignored it, either way it was completely unacceptable I have had my truck in there two separate times for them to fix a noise coming from my steering column and they have been unable to fix itWhen I hit I had a message come up that said perform service so I took it in to them and they said the message was because the egr, egr piping and turbo had to be cleaned as well as the CCV needed to be replaced and this was going to cost dollars! After doing some research I found out that this was indeed a service item so I called another dealer down in the Phoenix area and got a quote from them to do this service and they said it would cost dollars, I couldn't believe the difference in price to do the EXACT same serviceI could understand a couple hundred dollar difference but not a difference of over times as muchOverall I feel that they do substandard work at an inflated priceNeedless to say I will no longer be taking my truck here for service, despite living in flag I will be driving down to the valley to have my truck serviced in the future

However there are many other factors that go into someone owing to much on the vehicle they have had for 3 years. How many miles you drive a year, condition of the vehicle, and the interest rate you are given by the bank servicing your loan. DO NOT GO HERE! I had a [redacted] that I kept taking in for service due to a check engine light. Everytime I took it in, they kept saying "It just needs a software update." After taking it in about 3 times, they finally realized the heads had to be replaced. So I traded it in for a [redacted]. I had it for 17 days and the transmission messed up while I was in [redacted]. I called Planet and explained to them what was going on, and they said "It might need a software update." REALLY?!?!? A brand new vehicle needing a software update?!?! I ended up taking it to [redacted] in [redacted], turns out I need to replace the transmission. I had to put up a fight with the [redacted] coporation, as they weren't going to provide me with a Loaner/Rental. This has really put a burden on my holiday travels. I will never take my vehicle to Planet, nor will I ever recommend them!

The oil and fuel filter changes take almost a full day and cost 300 dollars. One of the service guys tried to justify the cost by saying there is a bunch of stuff above the engine fuel filter that has to be removed to get to it, but when I crawled under the truck and looked I could see that the fuel filter could easily be accessed from the bottom with out removing anything. They have forgot to reset my oil or fuel filter change reminder on 2 separate occasions. After doing some research I found out that this was indeed a normal service item so I called another dealer down in the Phoenix area and got a quote from them to do this service and they said it would cost 575 dollars, I couldn't believe the difference in price to do the EXACT same service. I could understand a couple hundred dollar difference but not a difference of over 4 times as much. Overall I feel that they do substandard work at an inflated price. Needless to say I will no longer be taking my truck here for service, despite living in flag I will be driving down to the valley to have my truck serviced in the future.
