The rattle that occurs in my brand new Ram is present while traveling over bumpy roads 100% of the time while the speed is under miles per hour To say that it only happens under "Extreme conditions" is an outrage I have not once driven my brand new truck in extreme conditions The only conditions I subject my vehicle to are road ways which are owned and maintained by the city or town in which I am in at the time I truly hope that while your establishment had possession of my vehicle, you did not subject my vehicle to extreme conditions You say that your engineer instructed you to stop work on my vehicle because the noise that I was hearing was a "characteristic of the vehicle" That statement is also an outrage I say this because you accepted my vehicle times to fix a "problem" that existed Each person, including your service manager, drove my vehicle, heard a rattle in the steering wheel, and acknowledged that the rattle was a problem You kept my vehicle for multiple weeks in an attempt to fix it Your engineer also acknowledged that there was an issue, as he instructed you to fix the steering column coupling and then to replace the entire steering column If the noise that I am hearing is a "characteristic" then why did you attempt to fix it each time it was at your establishment If it was in fact a "characteristic" then there would be nothing to fix As a company, you should have acknowledged that you made a mistake in selling me a vehicle that was faulty You were not able to fix it even though I gave you attempts, and you should have corrected that issue by buying it back Had you bought my vehicle back, that would have shown me that your business truly does care about its customers You have shown me that all you care about is moving inventory, and could care less about a customers happiness/safety You have taken my vehicle apart on separate instances, and a separate Chrysler dealership had taken it apart on instance At this point, I feel as though you are not able to correct the problem with my vehicle, you have effected the resale value of my vehicle, and I want to be reimbursed Regards, [redacted]

The rattle that occurs in my brand new Ram 1500 is present while traveling over bumpy roads 100% of the time while the speed is under 30 miles per hour.  To say that it only happens under "Extreme conditions" is an outrage.  I have not once driven my brand new truck in extreme conditions.  The only conditions I subject my vehicle to are road ways  which are owned and maintained by the city or town in which I am in at the time.  I truly hope that while your establishment had possession of my vehicle, you did not subject my vehicle to extreme conditions.  You say that your engineer instructed you to stop work on my vehicle because the noise that I was hearing was a "normal characteristic of the vehicle".   That statement is also an outrage.  I say this because you accepted my vehicle 4 times to fix a "problem" that existed.   Each person, including your service manager, drove my vehicle, heard a rattle in the steering wheel, and acknowledged that the rattle was a problem.   You kept my vehicle for multiple weeks in an attempt to fix it.  Your engineer also acknowledged that there was an issue, as he instructed you to fix the steering column coupling and then to replace the entire steering column.  If the noise that I am hearing is a "normal characteristic" then why did you attempt to fix it each time it was at your establishment.  If it was in fact a "normal characteristic" then there would be nothing to fix.  As a company, you should have acknowledged that you made a mistake in selling me a vehicle that was faulty.  You were not able to fix it even though I gave you 4 attempts, and you should have corrected that issue by buying it back.  Had you bought my vehicle back, that would have shown me that your business truly does care about its customers.  You have shown me that all you care about is moving inventory, and could care less about a customers happiness/safety.  You have taken my vehicle apart on 4 separate instances, and a separate Chrysler dealership had taken it apart on 1 instance.  At this point, I feel as though you are not able to correct the problem with my vehicle, you have effected the resale value of my vehicle, and I want to be reimbursed.

As of February 22, 2017, we have settled this matter directly with Mr. [redacted].

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below. I do not accept the response from Planet Chrysler Jeep [redacted].  I have in fact filed with the National Center for Dispute Settlements so that the issue with my truck can finally be corrected.  I am upset that this situation has come to this.  A friend of mine had an issue with a brand new vehicle that he bought, and the dealership went above and beyond to make sure that the issue was corrected.  When they were not able to fix the issue, they did not drag the process out further than it needed to go.  They asked him how they could correct the issue, and ended up placing him in a new vehicle. I would like to make one thing clear, this "rattle" in my truck does not only happen on "very rough roads" this "rattle" in my truck occurs when driving over everyday bumps and imperfections in the road way.  It is a constant rattle, while traveling under 30 miles per hour.  Imagine that you were to buy a BRAND NEW vehicle.  Would you accept the fact that there was a rattle that occurred constantly during your city driving?  I have driven MANY other Ram products, including the 2014 model year Ram's and I have yet to hear this "normal operating condition" in ANY of the other trucks.  I am amazed that Planet Chrysler Jeep [redacted] is allowing me to drive in a vehicle that very well could be unsafe.  I say that this vehicle could very well be unsafe due to the fact that they have NO IDEA what is causing the rattle.  It sounds like something is loose in my steering system.  If the engineer truly believed that this was a normal operating condition, then he would not have attempted to fix it in the first place.  The truth is, the engineer did hear the issue with my truck, and did in fact think that he could FIX it.  Once he realized that he did not know what was causing it, he gave up.  Simply put, he quit on trying to fix my truck.  I am incredibly upset with the way I have been treated throughout this process. Regards,
