Review: I purchased a 2010 Rav 4 for $14,500.00. I was to present an $8,000.00 bank draft to [redacted], the broker who was to finance a loan for $6,500.00 following my down payment. "Oh, no, it has to be cash, for you to get your vehicle today." Foolishly, I went to my bank to obtain the $8,000.00 cash and paid to [redacted]. Little did I know that this man intended to scam me. Subsequent information would expose his fraudulent intent. [redacted] got the downpayment from me, prepared a loan application in triplicate, and presented them for me to sign. There was a clear application for $6,500.00, which I signed without procrastination. Unfortunately, I signed the other two applications, thinking they both bore $6,500.00. The other two bore $25,399.00, unfortunately. To put our minds off paperwork, [redacted] started flattering me that I was a good husband to have volunteered to buy a Rav 4 for my wife. He would not even issue a company receipt for the $8,000.00 he received from me. Thank God that the application he issued to [redacted] indicated that there was a down payment of $8,000.00, otherwise, I won't have had a recourse. [redacted] financed the loan that was fraudulently presented on my behalf. I knew about this scam being perpetrated by [redacted] when the first payment was due. I was at a loss seeing that I was owing twenty-five thousand plus to [redacted]. I went to [redacted] immediately to lodge my complaints about money owed to [redacted]. "Don't worry about it. The way I structured your loan is to bring the rest of the money, to write [redacted] off" says [redacted]. In a nutshell, I called [redacted] on the fourth month that I was ready to pay the rest of the money off. Just like in the beginning, he told me the payment must be in cash to which I complied. (My wife had taken this funds from her retirement account to pay off the balance. The down payment came from the payment we received from [redacted], following my wife's full coverage of her previous truck, which was written off.) So, I made the final payment based on the instruction of [redacted] that I should make payments to him, and not [redacted], to get the indebtedness in my name written off. I made the final payment on August [redacted], 2013. [redacted] rose and shook my hand congratulating me. He thought I was going to leave when I asked for my receipt. "Oh yes, please, sit", and I sat. He scribbled a receipt on the computer and presented it to me as my receipt. He asked me to sign and put my email address, which I did. He then got up saying that he needed a copy for his file. At that juncture, I said "Sir, you must sign the receipt before making a photocopy." "Oh, yes, you are right. ..." said [redacted]. Before signing, I asked him to write "Full and Final Payment" which he did in his handwriting and thereafter signed it.

I got home to show the receipt to my wife. "Why would you obtain this kind of a receipt from this [redacted] man? Yes, you have a receipt, but for what???" said my wife. I instantly called [redacted] that my wife didn't appreciate the receipt. He told me to come back, as he would "fix it" for me. He wrote another receipt with a VIN number and the phrase "Satisfaction of Obligation" and thereafter signed it following his instruction to sign his receipt with my email address. Again he congratulated me. Little did I know that I was dealing with a con-artist.

The end of August came with no resolution with [redacted], as promised by [redacted]. I called him several times, as he assured me never to panick. Listening to him was always reassuring. He even told me to tell [redacted] that I had finished paying for the vehicle and gave me his cell phone number to connect [redacted] with him if they ever called me again. Around the first, second or the third day of September, [redacted] called to which I connected them with [redacted]. He not only told [redacted] that I was not owing any longer on the Rav 4, but promised to make the entire payment to [redacted], thereby indemnifying me from any indebtedness to [redacted], as he had promised. He said however that the person to issue the check was on vacation, but would be resuming on 09/**/2013. As at then, I was still believing in [redacted] until he started creating doubts in my mind on the week of the sixteeth of October. I will strongly suggest demanding the conversation among [redacted] and myself to confirm the authenticity of my claim. When I realized the fraudulent activities of [redacted], I started calling/texting him incessantly resulting in this situation that we are in. As we speak, [redacted] still has twenty-five thousand dollars-plus indebtedness against me. The last payment, $6,390.00 paid to [redacted] is still in his pocket, as he has been fraudulent from the beginning.

I had a meeting with Planet Motor Car inc to resolve the problems. They made two offers namely (1) Planet Motor Car Inc would pay thirteen thousand dollars-plus to [redacted] leaving me with a debt of eleven thousand dollars plus. This I rejected, as I have paid for the entire cost of the vehicle; why should I pay more. The second offer was to return the vehicle for my full refund, which I accepted to take. In addition to this, resolution on the second offer would indemnify me from indebtedness to [redacted]. In the beginning, they accepted, but backed out later. My argument was that the company has got all payments from me, in addition to $25,399.00 from [redacted], why should I pay their debt???

I should warn you that [redacted] and Planet Motor Car Inc would be claiming that I should pay [redacted] following signing the fraudulent application. That is not tenable following what I have written above. [redacted] promise and the possession of my money should vindicate me. I would like the Revdex.com to request for the purchase price used to register my Rav 4. If there is a discrepancy with $14,500, and the purchase price with [redacted], this [redacted] who processed the vehicle's registration should be rendered a criminal. In addition to this, I have several text messages between [redacted] and I to vindicate me of any wrong doing. At a time, [redacted] even alleged that I was threatening him as I told him that I would seek legal recourse against him. I have some fax to send to your office if you could kindly let me know what number to fax it to.

I look forward to a fruitful resolution to this scam.Desired Settlement: This transaction has been a total nightmare as I have been having sleepless nights, high blood pressure etc. I will like to take Planet Motor Car Inc.'s second offer, to have the vehicle returned, while the used-auto company return the loan it took from [redacted] thereby indemnifying me of any indebtedness to [redacted]. I should be entitled to pain and suffering, as I was so gullible that Planet Motor Car Inc. was going to honor its promise to issue a refund to me in return of its vehicle. The car compay lied, as it had done several times. Unfortunately, as a resuly of [redacted] and Planet Motor Car Inc.'s promise to make a refund to me, I bid and won a 2010 Rav 4 auction on [redacted], but failed to make payment, due to the disappointment from [redacted] and Planet Motor Car Inc. As I write, I have a case against me on [redacted], as I c ould be sued for not paying for the bid I make. I will add that up till now, I have a 100% feedback on [redacted], which is being ruined by the fraudulent activities of [redacted] and Planet Motor Car Inc. In addition to this are the lateness of payments to [redacted], which are ruining my credit history. Again, I will appreciate a fax number to fax my documents.

Review: I went to this business in August with the intention of purchasing a used car. When I got there the sales guy [redacted] or [redacted] (his name is still not clear) showed me the available options. I left a deposit via CC to hold one of the vehicles. On my first visit I filled out their finance form which allowed them to run my credit. In the following 2 days, they ran my credit a total of 7 times so I called to find out why and the person on the phone just tried to play dumb like he couldn't believe it himself. Anyway I told them at that point to stop running my credit because it was damaging my score. Even after that they ran my credit once more. I then had my first encounter with [redacted] who is the [redacted] over there and he gave me an estimate for my monthly installments which at that point I told him was not part of my budget. I was still on the fence about purchasing the vehicle so then I was able to get a family member to go with me so we went together and [redacted] showed me a car which I decided I liked and wanted to check out financing options. I had to meet with [redacted] for the financing. He started by presenting me with 2 options for financing the car. He said my financing rate from the bank was very high and I told him both options were out of my reach so he then offered to "buy down the rate" which he asked me to pay him cash to do. He had a stack of paperwork and gave me the whole "sign here and sign here and initial here" act. I asked about some of the charges and his explanations were basically reading the name of the charges to me as opposed to an explanation of what they were. He made it seem as though they were mandatory charges and at no point did he explain to me that they were optional. In the end, he jacked up the price of the car then financed me at a higher rate than what we agreed. Then he gave me a contract that showed the total cost of my car as the higher price. He kept a different copy of the contract which showed the itemized breakdown of all the charges and told me I will get a copy of it when it is "endorsed" in 45-60 business days. I ended up going back there 3 times after this experience to speak with [redacted] and each time he became more and more of a criminal. He dealt with me with an air of arrogance because now I was trapped in his contract. To add insult to injury, I called to cancel the insurance I was charged for only for the company to tell me I didn't even have it in the first place!!! So that money for that just went straight into their pockets. So in the end, they cheated me of a significant amount in unnecessary fees which caused my monthly installments to be considerably higher than they should have and I am stuck. Also, when I drove the car on the highway I kept hearing a noise and after investigation realized that one of the front wheel bearings was bad!! I want this place to be investigated for this type of dishonest and misleading practices. They conveniently withhold information and documentation from their customers all in an attempt to scam them.Desired Settlement: I want my contract to be redone removing those unnecessary charges as well as that ridiculous processing fee so that my monthly installments can be lower.

Review: I had came to Planet Auto in June hopes of purchasing a used vehicle. The finance manger said I was approved for an auto loan. I had put $4,000.00 towards the down payment and another $400.00 towards tags/plates. With that all being said, after hours of talking and signing. I walked out with the vehicle. I drove my car home to upstate NY which is about 6 hours away. Out of the blue, the dealer calls me 2 weeks later, telling me that I had to return the vehicle immediately because my financing did not go through. I was shocked, I told them that I had work and the earliest I could head back down was the [redacted] July weekend. They told me that they needed the car back asap. I told them, either they come get the vehicle or I will bring it down in a week. I even told them that I'd pay a full month car payment. they said that would be too much. The day before I drove down to NYC I called the dealer to let them know that I was coming tomorrow, he told me that they would have my down payment refunded in the forrm of check. I get there and they pretty much was feeding me crap, and said the finance manger was not there, no check. I was told they will fed ex it to me, that was in the first week of July. It now is the end of august and still no check, I've attempted to call numerous times and the finance guy says he will check with the owner. All I'm asking is for my money back.Desired Settlement: Get my money back as promised.

Sincerely,

Review: In Feb. 2012, I saw a 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe priced at $10,000 from this company. with balloons attached around it. It was beautiful and after a test drive they reassured me that it was $10,000 because it was an older used car ad they had a special. I had 7,000 and wanted to pay in cash but the dealer told me that they are no longer able to receive cash so that I would have to go to the bank and get a certified check. He then explained that all I would have to do is finance the last $3,000 and which would make the price go from $10,000 to around $15,000 with interest the bank charges. Being that I already paid $7,000, and owed $3,000 left I thought ok $5,000 is not to bad because the bank has to make their money for helping me finance. I get it. It’s Business. SO I got a certified check for Planet Motor Cars gave them the $7,000 and they called and got the approval of finance for me from the bank [redacted]). I was so excited because I felt I was responsibly putting down as much as I can to pay less later as the car dealer by the name of "[redacted]" said to me. As we were reviewing the contract he placed several papers down and started to go through all of them. He pointed to a price that said $15,361 and told me that’s how much the car now is instead of $10,000. He told me I didn’t have to pay the 1st months rent as per the special going on and that every month my bill would be $200 a month. After a while of him explaining and going through the papers on the table and explaining to me I had a good deal. I signed the contract and drove off in my new 2009 Nissan Altima. A month later I went to pay the $200 monthly payment with the bank that financed it [redacted]) and they informed me. "Your monthly bills are not $200, they are $417 a month. I was shocked and confused. I explained that that wasn't what the dealer told me but the Bank insisted that was what my monthly payments were. I thought to myself. I already signed the contract so there is nothing I can do and I saw the bright side to it which was I would be done with the payments quicker. Months of paying $417 a month became a struggle with rent, and other bills but I was committed to paying it off. But it became harder. I called [redacted] and started asking more billing questions and break downs to which everyone replied in different answers but finally was explained that the car was financed for $15,361 on the car. I asked where my $7,000 had went and they informed me that they see the $7,000 down I had paid, but my car was priced at $15.361 AFTER I put that $7,000 deposit down! I began to cry and explain that’s now what it was and that’s not what they told me. That means that the car would be $22,000 because I already paid $7,000. The car dealer never told me that I would have to pay $15,362 dollars on TOP of my $7,000 payment ….the car priced in the window was $10,000 so how could that be so??? I explained how the dealer had also told me my payments were to be $200 / mo. and I had found out it was $417 but kept paying it anyway to be over and done. The rep from [redacted] empathized but basically repeated that I owed a total of $15,361 to pay off the car. I knew there was nothing I can do at this point. So I just continued to make the payments estimating that it will all be over if I could just hang in there for 3 years. For 3 years I struggled to pay the bill being in college, paying NYC rent and living on my own it was hard. Sometimes I paid the car note late but I consistently paid and never had gotten to the point where my car was up for being repossessed because I was consistent in making payments. It is now the 3rd year paying $417/mo. for this 2009 Nissan Altima (while my friend is paying the same for a BMW). I knew I was almost finished with making payments on the car. I called up the bank [redacted] and asked how much money have I paid on the car up until this date from Feb 2012 and a rep from [redacted] stated $13,841.69 …I got excited knowing I was almost done and asked the exact amount of how much I had to pay left…so I could be over and done with the payments. The representative then told me … $12,814.19 !! When I ask “why?”, she said out of the $13,841.69 I have paid…. ONLY $3,058.96 went to the principal balance of the car and the other $10,940.71 went to interest alone! I couldn't believe it and kept saying how could 3 years of monthly payment of $417/mo. equal to only 3,000 on my principle balance? That’s only $1,000 a year going to my car when I was dishing out way over $6,000 a year especially that they also charge $10.95 JUST TO PAY MY BILL in any form or type of payment which was a rip off in itself. After going back and forth with [redacted] I kept asking why would anyone pay an extra $12,814 after spending $7,000 down and another $13,841.60 totaling $33,655 for a used 2009 Nissan ALtima vehicle that is now book marked at $8,000? That’s quadruple the amount of the car! I made a complaint against them for over charging ridiculous amounts of money. Today I called again spoke to another rep from [redacted] who used to be a car dealer. He took a thorough look at my contract and identified what happened. He told me that this was the worst he had ever seen someone taken advantaged of and that PLANET MOTOR CARS had also taken advantage of [redacted] as well. He explained that although I thought I was financing a car for $3,000 …and gave a $7,000 deposit, the dealer charged me $15,361 after the deposit. I told him I already knew that because I found out years ago. But he began to explain in depth. He said that the day I thought I was purchasing the car for 10,000 thinking I was getting the bank to finance $3,000 after paying $7,000, down, Planet Motor Cars told [redacted] they needed financing on a vehicle that was $19,000. He said [redacted] gave them $15,361 for it instead. So PLANET MOTORS received more than the vehicle was priced because they told [redacted] the vehicle was more that what it was while leaving me stuck with having to pay back the $15,361 to [redacted]. He helped me send a complaint to the [redacted] of [redacted] however explained that because it was the car dealers doing and manipulation when explaining the contract and underhandedly charging me, I should be reporting the Planet Motor Cars. When trying to get the phone # and address of Planet Motor Cars that is on my contract we found something else VERY VERY foul. Although, I purchased my car at “Planet Motor Cars” in Queens. The dealer who called it in that day claimed to be “Planet AUTO GROUP” in long island because that is the name he gave which is on my contract. When I contacted this mysterious long island office that I had never been to, they said that where I purchased my car “ Planet Motor Cars” is closed down and under the new name “[redacted] Motor Cars” and informed me that Planet Auto Group in Long Island used to own it but now its under [redacted] which they own also. He gave me the # to [redacted] and I contacted them and when I explained the situation to them, they said that Planet Auto group does NOT own them and that Planet Motor Cars where I originally bought my car in Queens is no longer there so they can not help me.

Planet Motor Cars has scammed me and the bank [redacted] ( [redacted] ) and underwent a name change. While Planet Motor Group is saying they owned it and now owns it under a new name of [redacted] Auto (where Planet Motor used to be). [redacted] Auto is saying this is NOY true. I am being led to dead ends with this situation all while still paying on this used 2009 Nissan Altima for $417./ mo that I CAN NOT AFFORD!!! I have already paid $13,841.69 and the bank is expecting to be paid $12,814.19 more. This cars book value under 100,000 miles I priced at $8,000…over 100,000 miles is priced at $12,000! I have paid above and beyond BOTH PRICES!! PLEASE HELP and investigate this matter. It is not fair to put people through this and to just vanish into thin air to avoid consequence while charging them quadruple the amount of the car because of duping someone into a bad deal with a bad APR rate and Higher Selling price! .Desired Settlement: Being that Planet Motor Cars advertised a $10,000 car while secretly getting it financed for $15,361 by the bank and NOT applying my $7,000 on what they said was a $10,000 car with only $3,000 financing …i would like to just finish the payments to [redacted] to finish off the original $15,361 price . SInce I have already paid $13,841.69 in 3 years of $417/mo payment, that would mean $1,520.31 is due to total the price of $15,361. …This will be me honoring the price I got scammed into. However, I WOULD LIKE PLANET MOTOR GROUPS to give back the money they owe the bank ([redacted]) and pay off the $12, 814.19 left on the car that never touched my principle balance due to the hardships of this horrible deal with unexplained truths, hidden rates , manipulation of the contract, and product price and most importantly making my life with this car A DISASTER for 3 years !!! Again, This cars book value under 100,000 miles is priced at $8,000…over 100,000 miles is priced at $12,000! I have paid above and beyond BOTH PRICES!! PLEASE HELP
