The air conditioner DOES NOT WORK in the apartment I am renting. I found out in Feb. and notified mgmt per message. While paying rent in March I again told her the air does not work and I was told I was already on the "air list" and soon as the temp was 70 degrees they could fix it. On April 2, my sons b-day I called and asked if they could fix the air and her reply was she thought it was working but she would send someone out. So from April 2-11 maintenance has been over each day during the week "fixing" the air yet it still does not work. I have extremely bad allergies and sinusus issues however I've had to lay in the heat and breath in pollen and dust on hot days. I feel aweful, I can't sleep or breath and I still and stuck with 7 more months in this lease. I left another message Monday. So four times I've informed mgmt about having no air on a second floor apartment. I've never been late on my rent or caused any problems. I rented 3 previous apartments over four years and I've never experienced a diaster like I have at this complex. Anytime anything has ever been wrong, I can count it on one hand from the other complexes combined and my concerns were handled the same day with professionalism and care. However each issues I have had at The Plantations are treated like an inconvenience to staff instead of me and I'm constantly reminded there are either other people in front of me or my concerns aren't important enoungh for example the mold looking area I immediatly saw cleaning the freezer out when I moved in. I was to by mgmnt and her worker to clean it with Clorox so after that didn't work and I showed her a picture she proceeds to inform me mold is green not brown but they will replace it if it would make me feel better. The garbage disposal was broke and had to be replaced, I went two of the coldest months with a crack in the front door where one could stand outside and see th living room light at night with cold air coming in. The washer also had to be replaced eventually.Desired SettlementI would love to get out of this complex and lease asap. My health has declined and I am drained and tired of being treated the way I've been when I'm paying rent on time and causing no problems. I don't feel comfortable with maintenance period, espicially walking in and out of the apartment so often and as he pleases. He is more respectable if my boyfriend is there which is also a problem since he isn't on the lease. My saftly is a concern to me.Business Response In response to the resident's complaint against Plantation Apartment Homes regarding the time,January 27th, the resident called about the air conditioning the temperature was in the teens and we cannot get a true reading until the temp reaches 76 degrees. We replaced her refrigerator immediately after move-in, the garbage disposal was replaced as soon as we received her complaint and the washing machine, and weather stripping was replaced January 29th. Her Air-conditioning was repaired April 17th.
