This is our response to the Revdex.com complaint number ***.On January 03, 2017, our company received a call for service, reason being no heat due tostructure fire and power surges from the electric supply at the home of Mrand MrsX.We sent one of our service technicians out to handle the service
call at 2:pm.Upon arrival the technician (tech) found the *** Heatpump not operatingThere was nocontrol voltage power to the air handler and the outdoor unit fan deflection cap had melted. The tech needed to get the proper transformer size to continue diagnosing the systemsproblems. The tech returned on the January 05, 2017, to install the transformerAfter installation of thetransformer, he found there were additional problemsThere was no communication on thecontrol boardThis Heatpump system air handler has control boards, these controlinformation from the outdoor unit, air handler fan speeds and comfort operations and thethermostat communicationThe outdoor unit has a control board as well; the thermostat is thecontroller of the systemAt that time the tech informed MrX that we would have to comeback to trouble shoot the electric and board communications.“At this time MrX informed the tech that the house had heat and that he had an outdoorfurnace with a separate duct blower to distribute heat throughout the home”.MrX called us and informed us that he observed of a burn mark on one of the boardsWereturned on January 13, 2017, to get the thermostat information and ascertain the lack ofcommunication at the control boards. In the mean time, we are checking on the required control boards, the *** supplier hademailed the parts break down of the air handler and outdoor unitBy January 26th, withseveral phone calls and conversations we finally formulated the parts list that was needed. On January 27, we ordered the required parts, control boards and one deflection capThetech called MrX at 2:pm, and informed him that one of the boards has a working day waiting periodThe factory was out of the partThis part is the blower fan moduleMrX said not to come out until we had all the parts together. With a working day delay that puts the time line at around March 10th, We called to check the status of the parts they were not in yetAll boards were coming from the factory. We checked on the status of the order two weeks later (March 21) and still no parts. On Monday, April 24, at 11:am, MrX called the office very upset that no repairs have occurred, and the statement he made was that we were open to civil and criminal suitsI call MrX at approximately 4:50pm on the same dayI informed him that I have not received notice the parts were in, but I would call him back on Wednesday with the status of the parts.I also stated to him that I take responsibility for the lack of follow up on the parts order,(*** parts supplier) and for our part, In not repairing the heatpump in a timely manner. On Tuesday, April 25th, I checked on the parts order, and was informed by the *** supplier the order was not completedSo we reordered the parts again. On Wednesday, April 26th, I phoned and talked to MrX to let him know we reordered the parts and of the expected delivery of the parts, the date was May 2ndAll the parts were to beshipped out of the factory. On May 2nd, I informed MrX no parts were in yet.On Thursday, May 4th some of the parts had arrived at the *** suppliersThe supplierstated the blower fan module was not in stock at the factory and the factory was to get ashipment in on Monday May, 8thHe stated that the module would be “flashed” and sent outthe same day and we should have it on Tuesday, May 9thI called MrX and relayed theinformation I had been givenThe Tuesday delivery did not happen. On Thursday, May 11th the part was at the *** suppliersWe picked up the parts and onFriday, May 12th, we scheduled with MrX to be out on Monday, May 15th.On Monday May15th, the tech installed the control boards, reinstalled the thermostat andinstalled the deflection top on the outdoor unitOnce the air handler unit had powered up, theunit was reading an error code (91)There was a communication problem between the airhandler and the control centerThe tech then called *** technical supportIt wasestablished there was low voltage going to the transformer which in turn produced lowersecondary voltage to the boards, hence the error codeWith through searching, our techfound a burnt wire which was in a plastic Molex plugThe plug was in behind a wiring harnessbundleHe then removed and repaired the burnt wireThe Heatpump system still would notstart as the thermostat had to communicate with all the control board, reestablish communication and reset system parameters before it would startThe system was left withelectric power on for the night. On Tuesday, May 16th, According to Mrand MrsX the system started operating at 8:pmlast nightThe tech called *** tech support for conformation on some of the systemparameters and did a final check of the HeatpumpThe tech installed two surge protectors, one on the outdoor unit and one on the air handler, at the request of MrX.In the complaint, MrsX states, “he was constantly on the phone with someone at work asking questions and/ or just standing at the furnace looking dumb founded”Well, with theextreme technology of this and all new Heatpump systems, we have and do call support personal from all manufacturesThey have white sheets on specific problems, which assistthe techniciansThis system, just for comparison, is a Mercedes vs a VWThe tech was in contact with me and the *** representativeThat’s the reality with today’sheating and cooling systems, and a power surge (think lightning strike) there is a complicationto ascertain and find all the burned out partsSo that point is mute. The next point stated is; “the part did not come in until May15, when they finally didorder part (as stated on the invoice which they billed us)”The parts were re-ordered April 25th(4-25-17), not May 15thThis is what the invoice states “Special order air handle controlboard”, not the date ordered.MrsX stated that they were without heat for monthsYes, they were without the Heatpumpsystem but on January 5th 20127, MrX informed the tech that the house had heat, and thathe had an outdoor furnace and separate duct blower to distribute heat throughout the home.MrsX states in the complaint that “the payment is not due yet”The invoice states “Due uponreceipt”, this appears to be, by delaying payment, retribution for the delay in repairs.MrsX states in the complaint, ”I feel that Lees heating considered the insurance company to be paying so they could treat us unfair”I don’t understand that statementThe insurancecompany has nothing to do with what occurred. The next line is “I’m, not sure, would that be insurance fraud on their behalf?”,The definitionof fraud is “the crime of obtaining money or some other benefit by deliberate deception” andor “somebody who deliberately deceives somebody else, usually for financial gain”Theproblem, as stated by MrsX, is the time it had taken to get the system repairedThere is nodeception, the system was repaired and the appropriate parts were installedThe insinuationof fraud better be backed up by MrsX, because defamation of character and slander couldbe on the table. As I admitted to MrX on April 24th, there was a break down between our company and ***parts supplierI will not take responsibility for the delay from *** manufacture for not havingthe parts or the length of time it takes to get those parts. In an interest to resolve this matter, the invoice for Mrand MrsX has, two HVAC surge protectors, installed for $and three trip charges, totaling $This is a total of$We will remove this $from the invoice total, if the invoice is paid by July 10,2017.Respectively submitted:Allan MayzLee’s Heating and Cooling###-###-####

Thank you. We will accept the lowered price as stated in the reply from Lee's Heating. However, we do not accept what they stated as factual. The check is already in the mail and a copy of the invoice is being sent to the insurance company along with the noted discount. As for what could be on the table... the definition of defamation of character is "making a false statement about you causing harm" .. Slander as the word you chose to use means "oral" .. Libel means written. "Statement" means an official or formal report or declaration. As you noted I had wrote in the sentence "I am not sure but, would..... ? "The word "would" is inidicating the imagined event or situation. When a sentence ends with a ? It indicates a question is being asked, not a statement. When a sentence starts with I am not sure it indicates unsure/questioning, not making a statement. So as Lee's Heating rudely brought it to Mrs. X attention .... Lee's Heating must be able to prove the necessary elements of a defamation of character or as u chose .. slander.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  We will consider this complaint resolved.
