We have contacted the customer and applied a refund for the charge over the initial quote. We appreciate our customers business and apologized for the miscommunication.

In August of 2014 the customer brought the vehicle in for a diagnosis of the Park Distance Control System.There is no power steering concern mentioned.  He is claiming that this should have been covered under the power steering recall? This vehicle has never had the recall performed so how...

could there be reimbursement? Reimbursement for any related repairs due to this recall being required would be covered under the Tread Act where the customer is reimbursed by MINI USA.  Customer notifications of the recall were sent out to the customers March [redacted] 2016 by MINI USA. If the customer would like to have the recall performed I suggest he makes an appointment so it can be completed. If it is determined that the PDC system failure had anything to do with the recall, the customer will need to follow the process of the Tread Act to receive reimbursement from MINI USA. We would be glad to assist with that process.  Thanks

Yes,I brought the car in because the backup senses were Not working. After the dealer informed me that the problem was caused by the steering pump fab,that is on the same fuse circuit as the back up senses. I am sure the wiring diagram for the car shows this!To make matters worst,the Fan was covered by a recall that the Dealer was aware of,because they receive a directive from Mini USA.But rather than repair my 2005 Mini,under the recall they the dishonest dealership took advantage of an unsuspecting costermer.[redacted]
