to measure. I apologize that we can't give the material and installation for free. We did give you the material and install at a cost where we actually made zero profit. We also compensated by giving you baseboards at no additional cost and did extra installation work since you were unsatisfied with our service. Our guys did a great job on your install and we were polite the whole way through. We feel as if we did nothing wrong and we even did a job for you that gave us no revenue in return. Hopefully you realize that we have done so much on our part and the last thing we want is for you to be unhappy.

Hello Revdex.com,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are very much aware of this particular customer and would like to respond in turn.
From the get go the customer was seeking discounts on all installation and material...

order line items. It is understandable for a consumer to do so because hardwood flooring can be expensive. We honored several of [redacted]'s requests in reducing the price on several line items. In addition, we worked strenuously to help the customer select a hardwood floor of his liking, answering any and all questions while he came back atleast 3-4 times and spent 2 hours in total.
His assumptions that he has been 'ripped' off are completely unfounded. We are more than willing to present typical rates for installations as well as the material, on which we barely made any profits. I would ask you guys look into how [redacted] is claiming he paid 'premium prices'. There is a difference between a per unit price and an overall price - he had 2 projects and so it would make sense he would be dealing with the amounts he did. These amounts are very standard and his prices are infact very discounted.
During the process there were some setbacks from the vendors end but that is not the whole story. We had 2 projects with him: the office and his home. For his dental office, we spent hours in expediting his delivery so that he could receive everything in a matter of 3 days. We ensured our contractors schedule for the weekend would be cleared up so that they could begin installation as soon as the material arrived. When his home project started, everything went smooth, however any delays on the moldings were not in our control.
He is claiming that 'wrong material' was installed in his house. What does that exactly mean? It is an attempt to obfuscate the situation so it looks in his favor. The truth is that he had ordered moldings that didn't match his floors exactly and these were from the vendors. So we then had someone else create them and that didn't match properly either. We lost a lot of money on shipping and ordering new moldings to see if we can satisfy him. In the end he approved of everything and manipulated us into finalizing the installation so that he can try to get discounts.
The customer has on several occasions demanded discounts and we can see clearly how he is looking to save a pretty penny at our expense. There are NO overcharges, and in fact when he needed extra material for his office and home, we reduced his shipping fees and he is still
We will GLADLY honor our 1 year installation warranty as we do with all customers. Take a look at our reviews and you will see that our installers are very prompt in servicing any issues that may arise for customers and advising them even if its not our responsibility to do so, and we will gladly extend this to [redacted].
It would be one thing if we honestly did something to screw over the customer - but this guy is completely off the charts with his remarks. We ask that you take his comments with a grain of salt and actually explore the 'costs' involved so you can see how outlandish his claims of being ripped off are. Let us know what you need from us and what the next steps are.
Sincerely,
Platinum Flooring Staff
