To whom it may concern,I have attached all forms pertaining to the gym membership and personal training of the ComplainantThe following forms show that the complainant was aware of all terms and policies for both Platinum Health and Fitness and Performance Fitness TrainingBy signing and
initialing these forms, the complainant is inaccurate in her statements. The terms and policies that were inaccurately portrayed for Platinum Health and Fitness include: -A written cancellation notice Submitted either in person or by certified mail days prior to the next billing date. -To maintain electronic funds accounts in such a manner that monthly payments would continue uninterrupted until proper termination notice was received. The terms and policies that were inaccurately portrayed for Performance Fitness Training include: -The monthly electronic funds transfers occur on the 20th of every month -Cancellations must be submitted in writing via Performance Fitness Training Cancellation Form days prior to the next billing date by contacting Samantha Lyons, Program Coordinator, to schedule an appointment to complete a cancellation form on a business day on or prior to the 13th -New EFT (electronic funds transfer) authorization form must be completed in advance for any changes to a client's debiting account.The complainant spoke to the program coordinator of Performance Fitness Training on February 12, in regards to her credit card being compromisedThe complainant was told she may bring in payment in the form of cash or check to Performance Fitness Training for her training dues before the billing date of February 20, in lieu of her credit card being chargedThe complainant never brought in such payment and her credit card was charged for the training dues owed on February 20, as scheduledUnused training sessions are nonrefundable.The complainant called Platinum Health and Fitness (the gym in which Performance Fitness Training is located) disgruntled and wishing to cancel both her training and her gym membershipThe complainant was told by a Platinum employee that in order for her gym membership to be canceled, she would either need to come in to the facility to sign a cancellation form or send a certified letter days prior to the next billing date per her membership agreement that was signed upon joiningThe complainant sent a certified letter to Platinum Health and Fitness asking to cancel both her training and her gym membershipThe letter was dated, by the complainant, for February 4, 2016, however that is incorrectThe envelope was marked as being paid for on February 23, via the post office and was received on February 25, Per the days required for cancellation, the complainant had a final billing on March 15, for her gym membershipPerformance Fitness Training ceased billing the complainant when the letter was received on February 25, since the personal training only requires a day cancellation notice.Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: it contains incorrect information. Conveniently, I was never given a copy for my records regarding my gym membership. I find it also convenient that both of them have different cancellation policies and that was not explained to me during my phone call. In addition, I was told that my card would not be run until the 20th as admitted by Platinum fitness but my credit card had a pending transaction prior to that date which is why I immediately decided cancellation was needed when I had a check in hand to pay for the upcoming month. At this point, if there is no cooperation from them, all I can do it share this story with others and hope no one else makes the same mistake I did.
