Platinum Millennium Publishing
According to the BBB in Garner, NC, Platinum Milleniiium is not an accredited BBB member but it has an "F" rating. In the past 3 years it had 55 complaints with 19 being closed in the last 12 months. The owner, Tyrone Cohen, 1025 Cabin Hill Way, Garner, NC, also owns writerslife.org, Kindle Cash Flow, Music Biz Center as well as Platinum Millenium. Phone numbers for Platinum Millenium are 919-772-1397 and 919-521-8981. If you call the numbers WritersLife shows in their response, they just put you on hold and hang you up. I have not tried the Platinum Millenium phone numbers that are listed. Check out the BBB in Garner, NC and you will see more complaints on their site and all the information I've shown here.

I would NEVER recommend Platinum Millennium Publishing after my terrible experience with their subsidiary company, [redacted] I order an e-book for and when I went to check out using their online system, I was required to click a button to get a poster that I did not want, before I could check out I was charged for this awful poster which arrived in the mail a few days later I threw it in the recycling bin I called the company to speak with a manager but was told no manager was available I decided the aggravation wasn't worth so let it go, vowing never to buy anything from this company again Then, today, I was checking my online banking account and saw an unauthorized charge for $from this company Like what the heck? I called the company and requested to speak with a manager and was told no manager was available again (BTW - the company obviously off-shores their customer service b/c the phone quality was terrible; could hardly understand the rep talking to me)I asked the rep about the charge and was told that was for my "membership." I never signed up for a membership nor had I agreed to pay $19.93/month for it With some strong-arming on my part, the representative put in claims to refund $and $in addition to canceling my account I am still waiting to see if the refund actually comes through (was told it takes 3-business days)Horrid experience

I have had nothing but negative experiences with this company, unfortunately I have been lied to, charged without explanation, unable to get into my log in, unable to connect to a human & when put on hold, I get hung up on. I have issues that need discussion---but until that occurs, I will assume this company is not ethical and I will recommend that others do not use it ...I know I never will again.

The website is paltry at best. Once you have a profile, you have to pay for every piece of "access" *IF* you can even get to the page that has the supposed "access" since most of the links when I clicked through the page had error messages. I don't feel like giving this business any further chance with my money after this shoddy display.

I would NEVER recommend Platinum Millennium Publishing after my terrible experience with their subsidiary company, [redacted] I order an e-book for 9.99 and when I went to check out using their online system, I was required to click a button to get a poster that I did not want, before I could check out. I was charged .99 for this awful poster which arrived in the mail a few days later. I threw it in the recycling bin. I called the company to speak with a manager but was told no manager was available. I decided the aggravation wasn't worth .99 so let it go, vowing never to buy anything from this company again. Then, today, I was checking my online banking account and saw an unauthorized charge for $19.93 from this company. Like what the heck? I called the company and requested to speak with a manager and was told no manager was available again. (BTW - the company obviously off-shores their customer service b/c the phone quality was terrible; could hardly understand the rep talking to me). I asked the rep about the charge and was told that was for my "membership." I never signed up for a membership nor had I agreed to pay $19.93/month for it. With some strong-arming on my part, the representative put in claims to refund $.99 and $19.93 in addition to canceling my account. I am still waiting to see if the refund actually comes through (was told it takes 3-4 business days). Horrid experience.

I have filed a complaint and Revdex.com said it was closed b/c said it was out of business -- and that I needed to find a different address. one of the affiliates said his address is: [redacted] Can you please re-open the complaint? He took over...

$2K from me, product was returned b/c not what was promised, he originally offered $500 to settle, and I have complaints in with both [redacted] and my credit card. Please help. original complaint to NC address that got forwarded to CT address (apparently you cluster your complaint activity - makes me wonder about it being a scam) Apparently, I ordered the product, it never came and I never thought of it. Didn't see the credit card duplication of charge twice - once for [redacted], once directly to my credit card - until I was preparing taxes. I called their help desk and had multiple emails with them - they denied duplicate billing, even after I provided proof (the credit card bill) and refused to refund - I contacted both [redacted] and [redacted] Bank (my credit card) and they're working on getting the duplication cleared up. In the meantime, they re-sent the product (they require an authorized signature even though I have locked mailboxes) and it was received on Wednesday. The 7 pack DVD, unfortunately has provided me with no new information so the product is poor and I want it refunded because they had a money back guarantee

This is hilarious, you give yourself 5 stars for posting a PO box and numbers that the person hangs up on you instead of answering. The scam and fraud here is sickening - I hope it catches up with you.

Yet when someone calls you hang up on them repeatedly when they try to get through, then when they finally do you lie to them. This is fraud.

I had purchased a CD from this company in April and it turned out to be a joke. I was looking at my bank account and saw that they had charged an additional $19.93 to my credit card on 11 May 2016. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS CHARGE!I have contacted my bank and I have tried to contact to the company. Both phone numbers had an automated message saying that it was "off hours" for them and that was today (16 May 2016) at 1:00 p.m. cst. I have also sent an email to the "helpdesk" and informed them that I want my money refunded and that I intended to file a complaint with you and I intend to contact the [redacted] This company should be shut down. They are taking people's money!Product_Or_Service: NADesired SettlementI want a full refund $19.93 Business Response The customer signed up for a monthly recurring membership program. All of the terms and conditions are fully disclosed at the time of the order and the membership can be canceled at any time. We don't have any phone messages, emails, or tickets submitted by this customer to help resolve the situation. I have canceled the membership and refunded the $19.93.Consumer Response I did not sign up for the monthly membership! And yes, I sent 2 emails and left 1 voice message. I also warned people about their scam. They did refund my money. I am satisfied with that.I still believe they should be shut down.I will agree to close the case. Final Consumer Response

I bought a book from them then two weeks later they charged my account for something I did not agree to.I purchased a book from this company. Two weeks later, they charged my checking account $19.93 for something that I did not ask for, nor did I ever receive. One month later they charged my account again for the same amount, $19.93. I tried to contact them by phone numerous times only to get a recording saying that I called after hours. I had to go to the bank and get a new debit card so they cannot charge my account further.Desired SettlementFirst, I would like an explanation to the charges that they imposed on my checking account. Then I would like those funds returned to me.Business Response The customer signed up for The Writer's Toolkit program in October. The program is an ongoing monthly membership which can be canceled at any time. All of the details are fully disclosed with the offer. This is why she was billed $19.99 in November and December. We do have a 30 day refund policy and I will get her refunded for both of those charges. It can take up to 5 business days for her to see the credit. thank you[redacted]customer support

I ordered a necklace and a sign for a one time price of $9.97 and $.99 respectively, and now the are charging $19.98 to my same card.On March 1, 2016, I purchased a necklace and sign. NO order number was given in the verification email, just a click funnel with a toll free number. I now have a charge for $19.93 pending for March 18th from platinummillenni Garner NC reference# XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.There was also no mention of any additional charges in either email I received. I've googled the company and learned from several scam alert pages that they use card information from legitimate purchases to add people to their "subscriptions" and charge them $19.98 a month. I've never received any type of notice that I was added to such list, nor a notice that I could unsubscribe or how to unsubscribe. I also haven't received any newsletters or indication of what I "subscribed" for.Desired SettlementI want them to take me off their list, refund the $19.93 they've taken from my account, and adopt better business practices.Business Response All of the terms and conditions of this offer being a monthly membership are fully disclosed before a customer is able to make the initial purchase. It also states that the membership can be canceled at any time and we have a 30 day refund policy. If the customer had contacted us at all we would have canceled and refunded for her at that point. We have had no correspondence from her. We will get her membership canceled and refunded at this time. thank you

I ordered what I thought to be a book for a $4.99 shipping charge, and a sign for an additional $1.00. I was charged $7.95 originally, which was not what I expected to pay, and then I was charged $19.93 13 days later, for absolutely nothing, as far as I can tell. I did not sign up for anything periodical, or for anything that I was told there would be a charge for. I signed up for a FREE webinar that was supposed to be part of the original $4.99 that I had agreed to pay for the shipping of the book, which turned out to be a CD.Desired SettlementI want a refund of the $19.93, and an explanation of the $7.95 that was supposed to be $4.99.Business Response Customer signed up for a monthly ongoing membership program which can be canceled at any time. They signed up on 08/04/16 and the initial fee was $7.95. I am not clear where the customer got the amount of $4.99. We don't offer anything for that amount. The customer submitted a support ticket this morning and I explained the membership to them. I also canceled the membership and voided the payment of $19.95 which was pending to process for today. thank nyouConsumer Response The company has responded by saying that they are aware of my complaint. Meanwhile, I am keeping vigil on my bank account, and hoping that I do not have to cancel my bank account, besides hoping that if they do charge me again, that it does not send my account into overdraft. Final Business Response We did get in touch with the customer after getting this complaint. We explained to them the monthly membership program that was signed up for. We also canceled the membership for them so no further billing will occur.thank you[redacted]

Charged my credit account twice in April on the 4th and again on the 8th for $19.93 both times with out my authorized signature or okay.I was charged twice on my card in April. I had not heard of this company. I had to look them up to find out who they were and what they were. I never watched a video. Or ordered a thing. Then I noticed they had been charging me since December 12, 2015 of and on. It started with $7.95. Then in $3.96. Then up to 19.93 twice in Jan. Then Twice in April. I had been sick since 2013. Until recently so they could be no way I watched anything to sign up for anything. I have notified my credit card company.Desired SettlementI want at least the last two payments they took out of my credit card April 8 and 10 both for $19.93 put back and I do not want anymore taken out. I want it done as soon as possible.Business Response This customer signed up for a recurring membership program on 12/19/15 for a charge of $7.95 with a monthly charge of $19.99. The membership can be canceled at any time. We haven't heard from this customer by phone or our ticket system to inquire about her charges. We can provide the IP address where this order and others for $.99 were placed from if that will help. I have canceled her membership and we do have a 30 day refund policy so anything billed in the last 30 days will be refunded. thank you.

They deducted money from my [redacted] card account twice for orders I never placed. On 9/8/15, I ordered an informational CD about becoming a writer along with a small sign from Platinum Millennium Publishing. Their website said that these items were free and I just had to pay the shipping charges in order to receive these two items. I paid the shipping charges and I received the CD and sign. I also signed up to be added to their email list, [redacted]. On 9/22/15, I tried to use my [redacted] card for an unrelated matter, but my transaction had been declined. I contacted my bank and found out that two charges for $19.99 had been applied to my account by Platinum Millennium Publishing. They had also sent me two email receipts for the purchases. The email receipts mentioned Invoice [redacted] and [redacted]. I sent an email to them asking them what the purchases were for since my business with them had concluded on 9/8/15. They sent me an email saying that I had signed up for a monthly membership when I ordered the sign. Their original order forms and receipts made no mention of a monthly membership. If it had, I never would have ordered the CD and sign. I sent them an email saying that I had not signed up for any monthly membership. I asked for an immediate refund of the $39.98 that they had taken from me without my knowledge or consent. They say that they have cancelled my "membership", but I have yet to see my money returned to my account.Desired SettlementI expect Platinum Millennium Publishing to refund the $39.98 back to my [redacted] account.Business Response The customer signed up for membership programs. The details of the auto charges were provided. We also offer a cancel at any time option and a 30 day money back guarantee. The customer contacted us on 09/23 through our online ticket system. Her membership was canceled and two charges of $19.99 were refunded.

Hi, Reviewer1909789. My sincerest apologies for the delay. I am so sorry that you were charged for a membership that you did not want. We do offer our customers a YES or NO trial to our membership when they order certain items from us. You have the option of saying NO if you do not wish to join our membership program. We are totally transparent about it on our web page, and you are not forced into joining. Our membership program is packed with content that a lot of authors and writers such as yourself find to be extremely beneficial to them. We do offer you a free, 14-day trial to read the content, watch the videos, consume the newsletters and listen to the insider interviews. As stated on our website and within the terms, if the trial is not canceled after the free 14 day trial period, you are then charged for the membership, which you can still cancel at any time and receive a full refund. Again, this is not a membership that you are forced to take. IN fact, to be totally transparent on all of our order pages you will see a very visible “No Thanks” option that will NOT put you into our membership, perhaps you overlooked it. Could you please confirm whether you received your refund of $39.98? Thank you, Kindest regards
