Drive four hours to buy a truck that was supposed to be in excellent condition. When I got there the truck was rusted and oil was leaking. Then they refused to give me back the deposit I put down on the truck.
Refund Return my $250 deposit that I put down on the vehicle.
Customer is confused at what a deposit is. Deposits aren't taken to hold a vehicle and refunded if the customer isn't happy with the condition of the vehicle. Deposits remove the vehicle temporarily off the market so no other buyer can purchase the vehicle until the deposit buyer has had a chance to make a decision. This buyer made a decision not to purchase the truck and that's fine, but the deposit served it's purpose for the potential buyer. The vehicle sold the next day to another buyer that was unable to purchase the truck due to the deposit hold.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The truck was miss represented in the add. And if the truck was sold the next day then why is it still posted for sale? I never signed anything and never recieved any kind of receipt for the transaction.
