They false advertise and take your money. I paid a one year lease in asvance for a commercial space which was not fit to move into. I could not get my 3,000 dollars back. they claim I abandoned the property when the lease wasn't even in effect yet

Refund of security deposit.On April 1, 2015 I moved out of the home I was renting at [redacted]. I gave my 30 day notice that I would not be resigning my lease. I cleaned and removed all personal belongings and returned the key to the office. I was informed that I could expect the deposit to be returned in 30 days. After the 30 days I began to try and contact them because I had not received it nor had I received a letter explaining why they would be holding it. When I called the office at [redacted] the lady in the office "[redacted]" said the " corporate office handles all deposits" so I asked for that phone number and she said she could not give me that information. It is now Sept. 1 and I still have not heard from anyone. I put a letter in the mail but never got any response. I am sending another letter today as well. They had the home I rented already occupied when drove by on May 3rd. I can not seem to get any answers or my deposit back and am in need of help.Desired SettlementI would like my Security deposit back and if possible interest for them holding onto it with no explanation and refusing to contact me.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]/ LeasingContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]As of 9/2/2015 Platinum Properties has not received a "Letter" from the past tenant therefore there has been no response. I have researched the file and the deposit was retained for "damages" above and beyond normal wear and tear and a letter explaining why her security deposit was retained and it was mailed to the forwarding address that she left the office when she turned in her keys. The letter stated that she had 15 days to dispute the decision made to withhold her security deposit and we never received a written response within the 15 day grace period so we closed the trust account out.

Management fails to maintain propertyI have had ongoing issues with my heat. It doesn't get above 65 degrees and its freezing cold outside. Their after hours line does not get answered! I have been without heat many nights and they don't respond until the next day! Also, I have NO phone jack, and they are refusing to have one put in. I never had one in there as there are wires hanging from my wall, and they say the phone company is to repair. I contacted attorney general and read the minimum housing and it is the property management's responsibility, but they refuse. Desired SettlementI want this fixed asap or reimbursed for the fix. Business Response To whom it may concern:PPNC has sent a certified heating and air technician out to property [redacted] on two separate occasions. The technician stated there is nothing wrong with the heat pump. The unit goes up to 72 degrees which is normal when it is below freezing outside for a central heat pump other than that it works at higher temperatures. We can provide the receipts from the technician on his two visits if requested but there is nothing wrong with the unit in question. In regards the phone jacks Mrs. [redacted] is referring too, that is not something we handle, the phone jacks are located where they are in the house and we do not move them for tenants. If the tenant would like to have them moved at her own cost that would be fine but that is not something listed in the lease that we take care of. Let me know if you have any further questions. Consumer Response The property did send someone out...days later. Never when I was without heat in the middle of the night. Their so called emergency line goes to a voicemail that doesn't get checked until the next day. I have logs showing we called over 5 times in one night and early morning. They send someone after I have my heat turned off because it continually runs all day trying to get to 65, so I have no choice but to turn it off. I received my bill of $285 due to the failing heater. The phone jack is not MY responsibility as I didn't damage it. By minimum housing, all electrical wires must be maintained. This one was hanging out of my wall. This (stated by the attorney general's office, and the phone company) is solely the property's responsibility. I spoke directly to a supervisor at the phone company that stated my property management was giving me false information. [redacted] stated they are only to access the box outside and any repairs inside are at the property owner's expense.

Platinum properties full of crap and they want repair nothing they have these bogus maintenance people who do know half of what they be doin when theyI have moved from wake county to Harnett county only to live in a pit. I have contacted Platium properties over and over about the carpet which is comin up by my front door. Its never been cleaned and its also dangerous, myself or son could possibly fall and hurt ourselves. The second complaint was the bathroom toilet it has been stopped up since day 1 they came but the issue still hasn't been fixed . Now I get a bill for 300.00 for only a month worth of service. I spoke with the [redacted] and they are saying something has to be wrong with the unit because the bill usually runs 80 for one month 300.00 is the equivalent of 3 months.[redacted] nor [redacted] REFUSE to fix any of the complaints I've complained about expect the toilet which I mention is still not working properly. I have also contacted HUD,disability act,and legal aid and the news. I refuse to settle to be treated like a government recipient. I have documents showing where I was placed in the hospital because of heat extortion and showing my son caught an attack. I will go above and beyond until my requests are fullfullied because at this point its pitty and its dicrimation against a person of color and thier history. I have put in a request for HUD to come and do a special inspection as well. I'm living in a unsafe unit and they are NOT cooperating with HUD regulations and as for [redacted] they need to be investigated as well it seems to me they working together and pass this unit without acknowledging the dangerous issues. My plain is to possibly take them to court since they takin this whole matter as a joke.Desired SettlementI'm seeking professional help to resolve this issue at hand because I dont want to break my lease but I can't live in this condition with a disabled child we suffer every month its high utility due to wiring which is dangerous and they see no wrong in trying to repair the issueBusiness Response I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] on 7/28/2015 and addressed the concerns of the "maintenance issues" with her. We did compile a work order and I have followed up with Mrs. [redacted] and there is only 1 thing left to be done from the work order list I took on 7/28/2015 and we project that to be handled by 8/5/2015 at the latest.

I have a section 8 housing voucher. I moved my voucher from wake county to Harnett county due to there where no rental properties available during my time of voucher expiration. I found Platium Properties online stating that they had immediate opening and I was foe sure I lucked up. Long story short my father and I went to view a couple Properties with a young lady by the name if [redacted]. She was polite and respectful! The first one we view was the worse I've ever seen in my life I wouldn't even let my pig if I had one live in there .moral of the story the unit I chose appealed to be in good condition that's not until I moved it. The as didn't work the floor was leaning in the living room my refrigerator stop working the stairs to go up and down from the unit where very shaky and unstable my 7 year old almost slip and fell twice. Iam in a high risk pregnancy and my son has allergies and asthma and they did not care as we sufferers my son and I are labled as disabled. This is beyond SLUM AND I WANT OUT OF THIS LEASE ASAP! Desired SettlementI want out of this lease and a reimbursement for running my ac when it. Was actually. The first time he found that the filter was severely clogged and hadn't been changed. He told the tenant to change the filter and see if that fixed the problem due to no air flow. Tenant called in on Monday and stated unit was still not working. PPNC sent technician back out and he found that heating strip was coming on the same time the ac was trying to kick on which caused it not to work. When he left on Monday night everything was working fine and we can provide both receipts. We had an inspector from the city and section 8 come in and pass the unit upon moving tenant into the property. We stabilized the stair way with braces before unit passed. The fridge was replaced with a brand new one on the same day that the work order had been placed. To our knowledge the issues have been resolved. Let me know if you have any further questions.Consumer Response All I have asked from these folks was simple request. Now just say my child get hurt from the pulled carpet in the unit or the nails comin from out the wall and the broken cracked front door. I dont see how in the world the city pass this unit with the upside down sockets and wires showing from the phone post...then they tries to make like that filter clot was my problem and it wasn't I just moved here there is no reason why I should be cleaning or changing anything this early on I haven't even been here a whole month. The ac man found a TOY clogging the air vent deep inside which goes to show they don't properly clean thier properties and my brother was the witness of that I still have the toy he pulled from the vent. Point blank it's not kept up properly and I wouldn't recommend no one to them I only took this place Because my time was running short and wake didn't have any openings this is not up to my standards at all and I'm getting ready to bring a whole newborn into this world I dont want to be living in something that's not properly taken care of especially with a disabled child. I got my paper work stating I went into the hospital with heat exposure and was very fait and dizzy which I'm considering in hiring a lawyer for pain and suffering just a thought. I just pray me and my kids are safe in this unstable unfit unit the floors are lopsided on the living room feel like I'm walkin sideways the floors crack every step you take I just have have never been put in anything but God knows what's best for me and my kids I will for surely not renew my lease!!!!!
