Platinum Remodel & Repair Reviews (1)

Good morning, Here is my response to the complaint that was made against our company (Platinum Remodel & Repair Llc) from [redacted] and [redacted].  I (Rick H[redacted] Owner) was contacted by the [redacted]s to repair a water damage that was caused by water heater.  I met with [redacted]...

[redacted] at 4 pm on December the 6th to complete an estimate of the damages and turn them into her insurance company.  During my walk through with [redacted] she had mentioned that they needed to get a a receptacle installed behind the water heater.  She then went on to say she had an estimate from an electrician and she didn’t like there price.  She asked me if we had an electrician or someone that could wire a receptacle for them.  I responded by saying “we do have an electrician we work with or I can have my guys look at it while were out here”.  At this time [redacted] (her husband) walked down and [redacted] told him that we were going to look at the receptacle for them.  At no time did I say that we would install a receptacle for no cost to them.  On December 15th (Friday) Insurance approved estimate for repairs and I scheduled with [redacted] for drywall to be completed from 12/18 - 12/20.  Painting was completed on 12/27.  At this time we were waiting on the flooring material to arrive.  Once material arrived I asked [redacted] who the plumber was who installed the water heater so we could have them come back out and remove it so we could install flooring underneath it then have them come back out and reinstall it in the afternoon.  She instructed me it was [redacted] and had give me there number as well.  I called the number she gave me and scheduled the water heater removal for January 9th first thing in the morning.  We installed the flooring then the plumbers were scheduled to come back in the afternoon to re-install the water heater.  When the water heater was being installed I was told by the plumbers that [redacted] had called the city about inspections and permits for re-installing a water heater.  Nothing was said to me nor were any calls made to me about this issue by [redacted] which I don’t know why it would be, we don’t pull pluming permits.  The plumber is responsible for pulling those permits.  After the above issue with the plumbers I told [redacted] that we would have our electrician come out and wire in the receptacle for them but they would need to be paid at the time of service.  She stated that they weren’t paying for the receptacle.  I told here that there was no electrical in my estimate to them and the insurance wasn’t going to pay for an electrical outlet to be installed because it wasn’t there before and that would be there responsibility.  The only other items to be completed were the carpet cleaning of the bedroom and a cleaner to come in do a cleaning of the bathroom and the bedroom.  On several occasions [redacted] was asked if they wanted us to do the carpet cleaning and the cleaning or if they wanted to take care of that.  most people want to take care of this to help out with there deductible.  After not receiving an answer, I invoiced the job out off of the insurance written estimate and I had credited them for the cleaning and the carpet cleaning.  My invoices usually read as a description “SITE WORK AS PER INSURANCE ESTIMATE”.  When [redacted] received my invoice she did ask for a detailed broken down invoice.  While going through and breaking down the invoice I had noticed that the insurance had left out the vinyl flooring in there invoice and the drywall in the bathroom.  I emailed the insurance company adjuster that I had been working with and she stated that they paid off of my estimate and not theirs.  My estimate was more expensive because it had those items listed in mine.  My broken down invoice reflected this amount and was explained to [redacted] in the email I sent with it explaining it.  Here is the broken down invoice that has since been paid by the [redacted]s as you can see on it.  As for the desired settlement they were credited for the carpet cleaning and the cleaning.  As you can see in my invoice there were no electrical charges in it and that will be solely on the homeowner to find there own electrician to wire a receptacle in for them.     Thanks, Rick H[redacted] (owner) Platinum Remodel & Repair LLC Treasure Valley Kitchen & Bath (208) 989[redacted]
