We have received the customers complaint and will try to address his concerns in order
To start, we did not chase this fireWe were contacted directly by the North Ridgeville fire department on September 6, 2014 and were asked to board up and secure the property. We arrived shortly
after their call, we entered into an emergency service contract and secured the propertyWe then met with the customer on September 8, and completed a property walk through, at that time we entered into a contract to work for the customerWe had to wait days per ohio law before we could begin any work at the propertyWe were in contact with their adjuster and discussed the repairs and were informed that the area of the fire was off limits until October 7, We continued to work with the customer and their insurance company to reach an agreement in scope that all parties were comfortable with including an additional meeting of all parties on 11/18/to discuss the customers concerns about the bathroomWe began the demolition of that approved items on 11/18/On December 15,we met with the customer and conducted a preconstruction meetingAt that time they asked us to rework out figures for their non insurance remodel of the upstairsWe did so and entered into a final contract for work on January 2, We completed the rough in repairs by Feb 13, and had 90% of the drywall complete on March 2nd followed by the trim and cabinets that were completed around March and the customer moved in on April 28, 2015.
In addition to the insurance work the customer asked us to quote a full attic remodel for them. We drew up the plans and estimated a $20,full attic remodelThe entire process was completed well under a year. We did have an issue with the back door and completed this install this on May 20,While onsite we repaired the customers Lazy Suzan shelf that fell and installed a door in the basement for themAt that time, we were not made aware of any additional concerns
We sent out a final invoice on June 10, and received a call from the customer on June 29th with some questions about the invoice and with the repairsI returned the call on June 30th and spoke with the customer about his concernsI offered at that time to meet with him to take a look at these itemsHe asked for me to wait a week or so, so that he can review the estimate again. I followed up with him on July 10th and we discussed meeting to review the issuesHe has something going on that following week and asked that we meet Monday July 20th at 6:00pm. I called on July 16th to confirm the apt and to review the lien process and at that time Mrstated, go ahead and leave the lien in place and we will settle this another way. At that time I again offered to meet with him and address his concernsHe declined
Based on the delays and cancelled appointments we made the decision to place a lien on the customers property. We were not notified of any concerns for about a month after completing our work and the inspections were put off until what would be a day over our Lien rights. In the state of Ohio we have days from the last day worked to protect our interest in the property by filing a lien. This was done to protect our interest as the customer owes Platinum Restoration $28,for the completed repairs$10,of that is for the completed extra work that we did for them, another $10,is for the cleaning and move back of their contents and the final $8,is the depreciation that their insurance company withheld until the repairs were completed
We have never given this customer a reason to doubt our work, or to feel that we would be there to address their concernsIn fact, we were in the process of trying to meet with them to do just that. As for the comment about hiring his neighbor, we didWe brought him on as a fully insured sub-contractor who is qualified to complete the limited scope of work that he handled
The customer states that his ideal outcome is to complete the work without a lienWe offered to do just that on July 16th. When I last spoke with MrI offered to remove the lien if he kept the meet on July 20thAgain he commented, leave the lien, we will settle another way. Platinum Restoration is ready and willing to stand behind its work and would like to meet with this customer to address all of his concerns in a timely fashion

Contract is 50 pages and hard to understand I went by these people word and had no idea they can put a Lein on my house, they put the Lein on because there time was running out and there work was not done. It's down right trickery to protect themselves to get paid if work is done or not and if it unsatisfactory. The work they did do is falling and so much needs to be done.please look at the big picture and will write what needs to be done and done wrong / can send pictures. These people came out of nowhere with Lein . Down right crooked! Thank you
