Platnum Towing Inc. Reviews (1)

To Revdex.com serving Metro Washington DC and Eastern Pennsylvania,I am concerned about [redacted]'s complaint about my towing company Platnum Towing. [redacted]'s vehicle was found by the Metro Politian Police Department (MPD). An officer called his dispatcher for a private tow crane....

The dispatcher then contact DPW (Department of Public Works) in which I have a contract with, to recover [redacted]'s vehicle on October 22,2014.[redacted] came to my tow lot several days later after 7:00 pm (after business hours which is 9am to 6 pm). A friend of mine who is not affiliated with Platnum Towing was at the lot after hours and stated [redacted] introduced himself as the owner of the 2001 [redacted]. My friend who has no knowledge of [redacted]'s vehicle told him to come back the next day before closing. I met [redacted] the next day. He asked who the owner was and I stated I Michael D[redacted] is the owner. We argue about the time line of when his vehicle was found and I showed him a copy of my receipt with the date October 22, 2014. He told me no one called him about his vehicle.Once a tow company recovers a vehicle a MPD officer is to notify the owner of the vehicle by phone and clear the vehicle out of the Stolen Car Database and with DPW. DPW will then notify the owner of the vehicle by mail. We (all towing companies) do not have the authority to do so.[redacted] filed a complaint to DPW stating we did not want to release his vehicle. The manager of DPW [redacted] called me to ask me to lower the price of the storage fee to six days, I then agreed. [redacted] came to my tow lot the following day and paid $220.00 ($100 for towing and $20 a day for storage). He gave me a cash payment. His vehicle did not start, and [redacted] along with his mother took the license plates off of the vehicle and abandoned It on my lot. That same day they told me to keep the vehicle. I asked them for the title and they said they will put it in my mail box the following day. To this day I have not received the title. I have spoken to [redacted]'s mother and she said he had misplaced the title and they are going to go to the MVA to get a copy. The reason I asked for the title is so I can take this now abandoned vehicle off my lot and send it to a junk yard.If you need to contact the manager of DPW [redacted] about this matter, his phone number is ###-###-#### or ###-###-####.For more information please contact the owner of Platnum Towing Mr. D[redacted].Thank you,Michael DOwner of Platnum Towing
