Review: On 5/30/15, I purchased several pieces of furniture for my formal living room from Platypus in Princeton. The furniture was delivered on 6/2/15, and everything looked fine. Since it was in my formal living room, I did not have an occasion to sit on this furniture until Oct. 2015 when I sat in one of the chairs (Tufted Leather Lounge Chair: 17840) and the leg almost broke off. I looked at it, and the hole in the base of the chair where the chair leg attaches was drilled at an angle, and not straight like it should have been. I contacted Platypus on 10/13/15 explaining the problem. I received a response email on 10/16/15 from [redacted] stating that she would ask the Furniture Classics salesman to assist me once he returned from the furniture market. He did not, and in fact, I never heard from anyone again. Since then, I have emailed [redacted] 2 more times. I located the Furniture Classics website (furnitureclassics.com). I sent emails to every person listed under the 'contact' tab, including the NJ salesman, [redacted]. All of the emails were returned to me as undeliverable with the exception of [redacted] whose was not returned as undeliverable, but was also not answered.Desired Settlement: At this point, the leg has completely broken off and the chair is unusable. This chair was not made properly. I am looking for a replacement chair because it matches the rest of my set, although at this point, if the company would like to refund the $706.20 I paid ($660 plus $46.20 tax), that would be fine as well. I have my receipt as well as the original complaint that I submitted to Platypus and [redacted] response.

Review: I placed an order on March 13, 2015 and paid in full [redacted] for a cabinet from Platypus" website in Princeton, New Jersey. I initially did not receive an order confirmation or receipt for my order, which was inappropriate. However, I emailed a request for an order receipt and was sent one by email.The furniture I ordered was to be delivered in two to three months (stated on their order receipt sent to me and also told me over the phone that would be the expected delivery time).When I did not hear anything about the delivery by June, I phone on June 5th and inquired about my order. I was told that the cabinet would be shipped the week of June 13th and I should be getting a call from the delivery company to set up delivery schedule. I called again on June 19th and was told I should be getting a call about the delivery schedule, as my cabinet was in. I did not receive a call.I called again on June 23rd and spoke with Dave who told me my cabinet was in and the delivery company should be calling me within 1-2 days. He was going to email the delivery people as a reminder to contact me. Nobody contacted me.On June 27th I called again to ask why nobody had been in touch with me. I was told-once again- that my cabinet was there and they did not know why the delivery company had not called me. She was going to call the delivery company that morning and have them get back to me that day.Nobody called.I do not see the point of my contacting this company again. I want a refund in full of $1,300.80.I do not feel the company is legitimate and I am afraid I'm a victim of some type of scam.I have the copy of my [redacted] payment for $1300.80 and the receipt from Platypus for the merchandise I ordered.[redacted]Desired Settlement: I expect a FULL refund credited to my [redacted] card for the full amount of $1300.80. There should be no "restocking" fee charged for merchandise that was not delivered. How would I know my merchandise I ordered even existed, since I have not seen it?
