Review: I purchased 6 tickets, through Playbill and Telecharge, for the Play" Once". Paid $67 plus service chg $8 per ticket. PlayBill show-stopping savings booklet was to be %33 less than the box offier price. When I picked up these tickets, they were listed for $67 for direct purchase.....Where was my %33 reduction... You are definetly criminal in your advertiing. Can this be resolved. My next step is the newspapers and direct contact with the BETTER BUSINES BUREAU. I am [redacted] old and cannot be overcharged like this since my friends and I are on limited budgets but want to keep up with going to the theatre.Desired Settlement: Return of the overchage of $33 andthe service charge incurred. 6 tickets were charged these extras.

We are sorry that you have had a disappointing experience purchasing tickets to the Broadway show you attended.

The discount promotion you have referred to was created and administered by other parties and not Playbill; our company merely licensed the use of our trademark and managed the printing of the discount coupon booklet. As per the disclaimer on the booklet, “Playbill, Inc. and Serino/Coyne, LLC are not responsible for any individual offer, misprint or change in price, date or product availability” (attached).

Nonetheless we wanted to investigate your concerns about your ticket purchase.

We contacted Telecharge, the ticket vendor, and they were able to look up your order, ticket purchase date, performance date, how much you paid and then they reviewed your phone purchase. They confirmed that you paid full price and not a discounted price. Apparently, when you called Telecharge to place your order, you did not tell the customer representative that you were seeking the discount price and so you were quoted and charged the regular price for tickets. As with most discount ticket offers, the customer is required to state that he/she is seeking a discount price; otherwise, the regular price will be levied.

Again, our apologies for your unsatisfactory ticket purchase experience. Unfortunately, as we are not the ticket vendor, there is nothing we can do.
