I got this notice today, so I am taking care of this case.I apologize for this miscommunication, I was under the understanding that our treatment coordinator had taken care of this( We have documentation that we called patient times and left message to call us back)I looked in to account and office does owe patient a refund, but for the amount of $118.copay $+ lab $225porcelain on molar $ ( all charges are per insurance.) EOB doesn't mention lab fee, but patient can call insurance and they will confirm that with hertotal $600crown removal $75build up $$12total is $ (pt had a $bal)$830-$707= $123-$bal= $118discount doesn't apply since a full gold crown was not made!We can refund patient on same card, all she needs to do is call and ask for ***, since I will be out of the office til next year.Thank you,***

Review: Among other issues my main complaint is this offices policy to unknowingly charge patrons a $20 fee for not showing up to an appointment scheduled 3 months prior by there office. I never confirmed and didn't show as I forgot. I contacted them to resolve the issue and got no where as I was told it was company policy. Can they actually get away with this?Desired Settlement: Omit the $20 fee from my file as previously requested.

Review: On July 28, 2015 I had dental work done. I selected this dentist based on a list of dentists on my [redacted] HMO dental plan. I assumed that the "patient informed consent" with the ESTIMATED charges would be in compliance with my dental plan pricing. After the fact, I received my dental Explanation of Benefits form and found that this dentist overcharged me for the crown ($650 vs. the "allowable" fee of $300) and also charged me two office co-pays of $5 each which also are not allowed under my plan. I am in agreement to pay what the insurance plan states I should pay. This dentist owes me a refund of $273 and refuses to reimburse. I visited their office on 8/31/2015 and later sent a letter of explanation and requested the refund (and disputed my credit card). This dentist will not even communicte with me regarding this transaction and unauthorized billing practice as an HMO provider in the insurance contract.Desired Settlement: I wish to receive a refund amount of $273 as explained in my 8/31/2015 that was hand delivered to their office on 9/1/2015.
