Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.The amount that was billed to my insurance company and subsequently to myself does not reflect the services provided in the ER. While yes, services were rendered the amount billed is not realistic or ethical and I would consider fraud to the insurance company and the patient. I am not denying the company payment, I just want to determine a reasonable solution for both parties. A 20% discount is by no means realistically suitable to resolve this complaint. A 50% discount would be accepted. I have been through two high risk pregnancies and accumulated hundreds of thousand of dollars in medical bill, all which have been paid in full due to wonderful hospital partners and billing companies that were not associated with Plaza. I know from past experience with much larger hospital systems this issue could be easily remedied. I hope we can come to a agreement that we both want to close out this debt.

Revdex.comReceived:         On September 16, 2015, Plaza Medical Center received letter from the BetterBusiness Bureau dated September 11, 2015.Patient Complaint to Revdex.com regarding Patient Bill /Account BalancePatient's mother stated she reviewed our initial response and determined it did not resolve her dispute.09/08/15 Revdex.com FINAL RESOlUTION:  Facility will not write off bill as appropriate care and servi:es rendered; however, did offer the patient's mother a 20% prompt payment discount which was refused. At this time, bill remains. Complaint considered resolved and closed.9/23/15 Revdex.com FINAl RESPONSE:  As stated above, Plaza Medical Center attempted to offer the patient's mother a discount which she refused.  Plaza Medical Center conducted a thorough investigation of her concerns per Policy/Procedures_   Her concerns were found to be unsubstantiated  based on a review of the medical record.  The patient's bill is substantiated  by the care that was provided and the care was deemed appropriate and within our guidelines of providing safe, efficient, and thus quality care.     At this time, the bill remains and the complaintis considered resolved and dosed.

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.The reason for the rejection is the information in the letter is incorrect. The bill was paid in full on September 16, 2015, since a cash payment was made the total was $561.75. I was being threatened that I would be turned over to collections. After multiple phone calls, I felt like I had to pay the bill and could not wait for the final response. I am still disappointed Plaza Medical Center chose to handle this claim in this manner. However, it is apparent they will not make an adjustment. The case can be closed without resolution.
