Yes I remember the VW Passat The buyer did the right thing by having their mechanic check the car before the purchase I do remember telling the buyer and her father that I could actually arrange the factory recommended timing belt service for just over half of what their usual mechanic was estimating but they were adamant about using him since they had known him for so long As it turns out they have also over paid for some other things but that is none of my business We did, however, agree on a lower purchase price due to the upcoming recommended service and the car was sold just like all of them are I did attempt to show them an available warranty to cover the engine and drivetrain by was stopped from fully explaining it and told they weren't interested Some of their issues would have been covered by the warranty company bu not a heater core I tried to work with her father by getting much cheaper estimates for the work he believes the car needs but he is committed to his existing guy.As you know, because of Ohio laws and how they are applied, I cannot get in the middle of, or pay for, or supply free parts or service for a car I sell because that precedent will completely negate the status of the car We make a fraction of what other bigger dealerships do on our vehicles but our overhead is also lowThere is no room to warranty any car out of our own pockets because the prices are kept very low for a quick turnover There have been over cars sold in just the last months here with many referrals and repeat customers. The bottom line is that they came in June to see a all wheel drive Passat with only 113k miles on it, nice heated leather seats, a clean carfax, they had it checked by their mechanic and negotiated me down on price based on the upcoming maintenance it would need They did everything right They did however turn down the available Auto Services Company Inc warranty AND I absolutely hate it that they are dealing with this problem, but there is nothing I can do as referenced in the previous sentences My referral to an inexpensive and competent repair shop would have saved them substantial money.Sincerely,Pleasant Corners Auto LLC

[redacted] did come and purchase the Hyundai on 4/08/She stated she needed a cheap car because she was now on her own without her ex-boyfriend’s help who was the father of her baby so that is why the car shows an odd purchase price of $+ sales tax only instead of the $+ sales tax and title fee that I was going to be firm atI cut the price as far as I could to try to help but no good deed goes unpunishedI will state the facts at the end but I need to address some disturbing allegations against me in this first paragraph I never spoke to or of [redacted] in a negative or disrespectful way Her “boyfriend” called me the next day and said she didn’t need a car because he was back and she would return the car, and he was very aggressive in his speech and attitudeThe nicer I spoke, the more verbally abusive he became He also was speaking aggressively to who I assume was [redacted] in the background during this callShe then got on the phone crying and spoke to me saying it wasn’t a good car while I could hear him yelling in an abusive manner in the backgroundI never hung up on herI was calm and reasonable but then when he got back on the phone and started yelling at me I hung up on himI am somewhat familiar with signs of abuse and I believe this whole thing is rooted in that, not an issue with the car The “boyfriend” and [redacted] then showed up a day later when I was around back unloading a truck and he approached me, and when I identified myself he start againThe more he talked, the more he spun up into an aggressive attitude and stance until I jump down from the truck and told him very clearly to get off the propertyAfter he backed up to his car with me following, I saw [redacted] in the passenger seat with one hand over the side of her face but I didn’t see her clearly, but I was concernedI dealt with the guy in a very deliberate manner to shut him down and remove him from the propertyHe obviously sees himself as an intimidator [redacted] seems to be in a bad situation that only she can end Now to the pertinent facts That car ran perfect and I doubt it really has a serious issue It was sold as is and the buyers guide and purchase order is signed I do not issue temp tags or deal with insuranceNever discussed insurance I may have scanned the car for codes in front of the buyer before it sold but don’t remember There is still a video of this car being driven on Friday 4/06/at 5.00pm, at While I always try to be helpful while maintaining status, I can’t touch this situation, even if there really is a problem, due to the obvious confusion and chaos connected to it I average close to cars a year with about $700k or so in salesI have repeat customers and referrals, and I would not “go rogue” on one cheap little carI have never made personal comments before and do not want to do so nowI just needed to get past some of the “smoke screen” in the complaint so I could clarify the facts of the caseThank you for your time

I am rejecting this response because: The allegations he has put in his letter are so far from true I have never in my life met such a liar I never stated to this man about not being with the father of my child , I had stated it felt good to make my own decision on purchasing a car He then told me about how his wife still loves him even though he is a drunk ...I was upset the next day not because of my fiancé but because this car almost broke down on me My fiancé was defiantly NOT aggressive on the phone he asked to please let me return the car to him and return and ,as well as the car , keep I was upset when we pulled into this mans lot because of a situation with a female officer being late to lunch and acting as though she did not want to escort us to the dealer like she was called to us specifically to do to receive day tags ATLEAST if nothing else could be talked out When my fiancé asked about the car *** then DID state “that should teach you that you shouldn’t send Little blondes out to buy cars by themselves” EXACTLY what he said So I will go through with suing him because I feel discriminated upon my age , my hair color, and the fact that I told him about my condition causing me to be in a fog that day This bothers me because I did n need a CHEAP car , he sold it to me at the price he did because a couple who was also there made a comment about the car and that I didn’t hear and turned to me with a lower price He then could not figure the correct price because of taxes so he said to make it an even This man is fake and I want my money back for the right reasons , not because I am supposedly abused Nonsense Others have reached out to me to tell me their terrible experiences with him as well so I have been assured I am not wrong about him
Regards, and apologies for waisting Time ,

[redacted]  did come and purchase the Hyundai on 4/08/18. She stated she needed a cheap car because she was now on her own without her ex-boyfriend’s help who was the father of her baby so that is why the car shows an odd purchase price of $2238 + sales tax only instead of the $2495 + sales tax...

and title fee that I was going to be firm at. I cut the price as far as I could to try to help but no good deed goes unpunished. I will state the facts at the end but I need to address some disturbing allegations against me in this first paragraph.  I never spoke to or of [redacted] in a negative or disrespectful way.  Her “boyfriend” called me the next day and said she didn’t need a car because he was back and she would return the car, and he was very aggressive in his speech and attitude. The nicer I spoke, the more verbally abusive he became.  He also was speaking aggressively to who I assume was [redacted] in the background during this call. She then got on the phone crying and spoke to me saying it wasn’t a good car while I could hear him yelling in an abusive manner in the background. I never hung up on her. I was calm and reasonable but then when he got back on the phone and started yelling at me I hung up on him. I am somewhat familiar with signs of abuse and I believe this whole thing is rooted in that, not an issue with the car.  The “boyfriend” and [redacted] then showed up a day later when I was around back unloading a truck and he approached me, and when I identified myself he start again. The more he talked, the more he spun up into an aggressive attitude and stance until I jump down from the truck and told him very clearly to get off the property. After he backed up to his car with me following, I saw [redacted] in the passenger seat with one hand over the side of her face but I didn’t see her clearly, but I was concerned. I dealt with the guy in a very deliberate manner to shut him down and remove him from the property. He obviously sees himself as an intimidator. [redacted] seems to be in a bad situation that only she can end.  Now to the pertinent facts…1.        That car ran perfect and I doubt it really has a serious issue.2.       It was sold as is and the buyers guide and as-is purchase order is signed.3.       I do not issue temp tags or deal with insurance. Never discussed insurance.4.       I may have scanned the car for codes in front of the buyer before it sold but don’t remember.5.       There is still a video of this car being driven on Friday 4/06/18 at 5.00pm, at  6.       While I always try to be helpful while maintaining as-is status, I can’t touch this situation, even if there really is a problem, due to the obvious confusion and chaos connected to it.7.       I average close to 200 cars a year with about $700k or so in sales. I have repeat customers and referrals, and I would not “go rogue” on one cheap little car. I have never made personal comments before and do not want to do so now. I just needed to get past some of the “smoke screen” in the complaint so I could clarify the facts of the case. Thank you for your time.
