with us at the property NOT Ms. [redacted]) six night and was satisfied with their stay. He also mentioned that he used to run Days Inn hotel in Connecticut and and know alot about hotels. We gave Mr. [redacted] list of hospitals in the area to take their son to get checked and let us know if there was a bed bug bites and if needed to be treated. So far we have not received any documentation from guest. Also we received about 4-5 calls from guest for harassing our front desk and taking us to court? They've been posting negative reviews online for our property. Will provide info if needed. They had also called Brown County Health Department to check our rooms. A complete report was sent out to health department as well. No money will be refunded to guest according to Travelocity and hoel policy. Also cost for pest control company to come and check our room and damaging property reputation we have forwarded this complaint to our legal team and they will be contacting the guest. want to make it very clear that we take our guests complaints and concerns very seriously. Our goal is to provide excellent service to all of our guests. That's why our guest satisfaction rate is 4.4 out of 5 on Choice. We had our full annual Hotel inspection a week before Ms. [redacted] rented a room at our hotel. In this inspection Health Department Inspector usually pick 8-10 random rooms to check thoroughly to make sure hotel meet state requirements. We had passed the inspections and comply to all of the state requirements. Ms. [redacted] also had called our chain Choicehotels to complaint, after carefully reviewing her complaint they rejected her claim for full refund but offered her Choice points that she can use at any Choice Hotel nationwide. Ms. [redacted] had also called Brown county health department a week later with the same exact complaint. We had a rep from Brown County stopped by to check the rooms she was in, not only those rooms but 2 other rooms. He also checked our laundry room and stocked bedding and was satisfied. If more information needed about these two inspections, please contact The Brown County Health Department for records. At this point there will not be any refunds. Also we had contacted our legal team to take necessary steps against Ms. [redacted] for damaging our hotel reputation. I would like to thank Revdex.com for informing us about this complain. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I don't know who Mr. [redacted] spoke to, however "Mr. [redacted] "id not say any of those things, especially not that he was satisfied with his stay or that he owned a hotel in Connecticut. In addition, there were 2 phone calls to the front desk and were for information gathering purposes only. They were to request that Mr. [redacted] have the room inspected and provide a refund. When Mr. [redacted] became confrontational and refused to discuss anything having to do with the matter, and interrupted the caller and would not allow them to speak, a small claims suit was mentioned which is a right awarded to every American citizen by the constitution. Due to the fact that we would have to travel back to Greenbay for the lawsuit making it cost prohibitive, we have not decided whether to pursue that avenue yet. I have never made claims that I stayed in the hotel, I made clear it was my family, specifically my teenage brother who was bitten. As he is a teenager I am filing the complaint on his behalf.
My family absolutely contacted the health department to have them inspect the hotel. Bed bugs are a contagious pest and people staying at the hotel have the right to feel safe. Mr. [redacted] had refused inspections, there was no other option to ensure the safety of others. As far as writing negative reviews, they were all factually accurate and portrayed the opinions of those that stayed there. The first amendment provides the right to free speech which without a doubt allows me the right to write and voice my dissatisfaction in a substantially factual way. The events posted to online reviewing agencies were 100% accurate and my legal right to post. If the business owners were allowed to dictate that only good reviews could be posted online, public online review would be completely useless. I'm sure Mr. [redacted]'s legal team will let him know that. If Mr. [redacted] is upset by the health department's requirement that he have the room inspected after we notified them of an incident, he should have his legal team contact them. My family only made a notification, we did not have anything to do with the results the health department put into place.
My brother still has bites, they are starting to heal. Pictures have been provided previously to substantiate the claim. The fact that Mr.[redacted] claims there are no bugs just tells me that the science of detecting them is not 100%. What is 100% is that my brother got eaten by something in his hotel. I am still requesting a refund of money spent. In addition, Travelocity, the site used for booking the hotel only refused a refund because Mr. [redacted] refused the refund. It had nothing to do with their own opinions or policies on the matter as he implied.
