Review: I went to the Pleasant Grove Dental Group after receiving an offer for cleaning and X-rays for $59. I paid first, then received a bunch of X-rays and a dentist came in to see me shortly thereafter. The dentist told me that my teeth required a four-time "special cleaning" and four fillings repaired. All this --in addition to prescription mouthwash --would be just $3,000 if I paid an extra 100 to get HMO pricing.

Another lady walked in offering their credit options and I was pretty much done at that point. After I left, another man called to return my $59, I told him he should because they didn't hold up their end of the deal and --despite the fact that he's NOT a dentist --said my teeth were just too bad to clean. (???) I also pointed out that I've worked in marketing for over 20 years and it's fully illegal to advertise something you can't offer.

I only wanted to find a dentist closer to home, but driving 20 miles is certainly worth it. I called up my "regular" dentist in Sacramento, paid $242 for X-rays and a cleaning and he found nothing that needed attention. Beware of the Pleasant Grove Dental Group. They're not selling health care, they selling CREDIT and FEAR!Desired Settlement: I want their ads changed and feel the American Dental Association should know about their business practices.

Review: [redacted] filed on my behalf. I am Deaf and was treated unprofessionally and disrespectfully by the Business Manger. I needed a list of itemized charges for our daughters braces. He was agitated by my request and after the third call on the matter from me (through the Relay Service) he said if I needed anything more then I would need to set up a meeting, driving 30 minutes one way in order to accommodate. When asked about an ASL Interpreter he replied that I needed to bring someone to help me interpret. He grew impatient and much to the shocking dismay (and the relay service interpreter) the office manager hung up on me, a gross assault on phone etiquette from a professional to say the least! I had to call back to get the much needed list. When [redacted] confronted about the matter, the Office manager grew very defensive and accused me of the one being rude. This is an ADA violation for not providing an interpreter for the meeting and appointments.Desired Settlement: A formal written apology from the business owner and the Office Manager for unprofessional behavior and gross disrespect of a disable person. As well as written confirmation that no retaliatory actions will be used at the expense of my daughters dental care. I also request a sign language interpreter at my daughters appointments.

Review: My son had a consultation for braceses they didnt do the work and did not tell us they were charching me or my insurance.

I took my son in for a consultation to get braces put in, on 6-12 2013 the consult was free we never went back for any service when I looked on my claims on my insurance I seen that pleasant grove dental had billed my insurance for 3300 dollars, I called the office they first deni any billing after talking to them for 30 minutes they finnaly seen they had done that I asked how they can bill for that much money they told they did not know what happened and it makes me feel that if I didnt check my details on my insurance I would have never known they did that and they would have just kept the money. the reason im filling this complaint is to proctect other consumers that go their and get billed for no services provided I spoke to my insurance they told me the only way they got this money is by filling a claim, to me it seems like they filled a fraud claim in intent to defraud my insurance and hopping I didint notice they are returning the money back, but I feel they should be audited by some one to make sure their not doing it to some one else.Desired Settlement: I would like a letter of of explanation on this happend and what their going to do in the feuture to prevent this kind of stuff from happening.
