Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]
Regards,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] has picked up product at our mill multiple times and the standard protocol we followed was an individual would come to the mill ask for a product and/or reference a job. We would line up the open orders and full fill the order. Sometimes the homeowner would pick up, sometimes the contractor and sometimes it was a contracted trucking company. We followed the same protocol when this item was picked up on [redacted] behalf. The individual that requested and picked up this unit was a client of Mr. [redacted] and had material picked up for his job in the past. We did not give the material away. Mr. [redacted] and I discussed this issue some time ago and I was under the impression this was resolved. Mr. [redacted] will have to discuss the returning or credit of this unit with his client that picked up the material on his behalf.[redacted]VP SalesPleasant River Lumber / Pine[redacted]

Regarding the [redacted] orderThis was paid for by my company [redacted]When the tractor trailer arrived for pick up the order I was informed by pleasant River thatthey had given the siding product to someone else who didn't sign for it. Why was I not informed of thisbefore and...

why did they not offer  to resupply?

Pleasant River Lumber stands behind all the products we produce. We take quality issues on our products very seriously. In response to Mr. [redacted]'s statement: "Pleasant River Lumber supplied material which was of substandard quality and did not meet the industry standard 1 and 1/4 ----- should be 1 and 1/2 as in the past $4,755.24 I had no option but purchase the proper material in order to keep the house project underway $2,722.00"1. This lumber Mr. [redacted] is referring to is a special custom milled product. This starts out as a 2x6x16 number two and better grade which is re-milled to a tongue and groove pattern.2. The 2x6x16 number two and better starts out as one inch and a half x five and a half inches. In re-milling of the product to put the pattern on the wood, some of the original thickness and width is taken off. There is also expected variance in the size depending on how deep the set up on the planer is.3. Pleasant River never proposed, stated or guaranteed a set thickness on the product. This was a custom pattern run for Mr. [redacted].4. The "substandard quality" concern was addressed to me and I asked Mr. [redacted] for more information including the tag identification numbers on the units in question and what the issues were. This is our normal protocol on any concerns on our product so that we can track the production dates and order attached to the lumber. I further asked Mr. [redacted] for the address to the job-site. When I was given the job-site address, I drove four hours to meet with the builder and inspect the product. I met with the builder and inspected the 2x6x16 custom milled product he was using. One floor of the house was already sheathed with the product and we went through another unit, which had not been used yet. After inspecting the lumber I explained to the builder that the lumber was, all within the guidelines for a two and better framing dimension product. The builder explained that he was expecting a visually clearer appearance grade for this application. He told me he wished he could have spoken to me to explain the grade before he purchased the material from Mr. [redacted]. I explained the two and better grade is what we sold to Mr. [redacted] and not a higher appearance grade. We both agreed that this was an error likely from a misrepresented product.5. After investigating the quality and thickness issue, we offered Mr. [redacted] a full cash refund on any units or pieces he would return to us. 6.Email sent to Mr. [redacted], You can return any full or partial units to the mill and we will issue a credit on the material and send a check out to you. I will just need to know which invoice # so I can credit the correct price. [redacted]VP SalesPleasant River Lumber / Pine[redacted]
