Review: I bought a Jeep on 6/**/14 from Prestige Auto which is a division of Pleasantville Ford, Inc. They didn't have clear title as their was a loan on the vehicle and they said they would clear it and send me the title in 5-10 days so I could register it in NJ. They gave me a temporary plate for 45 days. I called on June [redacted] to say I hadn't received the title. They said they would research and get back to me. I called again several times in July and each time they said they had mailed it. I called on July [redacted] and talked to Tony who said several times already it was in the mail. I said I was going to go on vacation until 8/**/14 but needed to have the title at my house by 8/**/14. Of course, upon my return there was no title. They insist that they mailed it and it was sent back 3 times for various reasons. No one will provide me with any answer other than to wait for it OR compensation for the fact I have a Jeep I can't drive now.Desired Settlement: I want and apology, the title and some compensation for the loss of the use of the vehicle. I want there to be some repercussions for this AWFUL customer service.

INFORMED THE CUSTOMER AT TIME OF DELIVERY AND THEY WERE OKAY WITH THAT.WE RECEIVED THE LIEN RELEASE ON JULY ** 2014.WE MAILED TO CUSTOMER ON JULY **,2014.THE CUSTOMER CALLED US TO FIND WHERE THE TITLE WAS, WE TOLD THEM THAT WE HAD MAILED IT AND THEY SHOULD IT GET IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THE CUSTOMER CALLED US TO LET US KNOW THAT THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE TITLE, AT THAT POINT WE NOTICE WE SENT TO AN ADDRESS WITH THE WRONG ZIP CODE. WE RECEIVED IT BACK FROM THE POST OFFICE AND HELD IT FOR WEEK DUE THAT THE CUSTOMER WAS ON VACATION AND ASSURED THEM THAT TITLE WOULD BE THERE ON AUG ** 2014 WHEN THEY RETURN. WE MAILED IT ON AUG * 2014 THEN IT WAS BROUGHT BACK TO US FOR LACK OF POSTAGE (WE ALSO MAILED KEYS THAT WEREN'T IN THE FIRST MAILING) THAT WAS ON AUG ** 2014. WE SPOKE WITH THE CUSTOMER BOTH ON AUG ** AND AUG ** 2014 AND ASKED THEM TO PLEASE BE PATIENT AND THEY WILL RECEIVE IT AND WERE TOLD THAT WE'RE LIARS AND SCAMMERS(THEY ALSO POSTED THAT STATEMENT ON OUR [redacted] ACCOUNT). AS FAR AS WE KNOW THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TITLED IN NEW JERSEY ON AUG ** 2014. AT THIS TIME THERE WILL BE NO COMPENSATION NOR AN APOLOGY WE FEEL THAT WE PERFORMED BEST TO OUR ABILITY.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

On July [redacted], [redacted] promised that the title would be in my hands when I returned from vacation on the [redacted]. He didn't even mail it until the [redacted] and then didn't overnight it, didn't track it and obviously didn't put enough postage on it. All of this should have occured while I was away so the title was in my hands on the [redacted]. The temporary plates that they gave me rain out on 7/**/14 so I was without the title for a MONTH. They lied when I called on Monday and made it seem like they had done all those mistakes the week before and I should have it and it was the Post Office fault. They lied on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday knowing full well they didn't even mail it until Monday the [redacted] and even then after 3 failed attempts to get it to me, they didn't spring for overnight postage or tracking. They sent it regular snail mail knowing that I couldn't register or drive my car. I want an apology in writing for the deception. I want them to admit they were not truthful when I called on Monday the [redacted] and they repeatedly lied and didn't respond to my phone calls. I called the [redacted] repeatedly and he didn't even return my calls. If they had the title why didn't they mail it?

There is no option for me. They aren't telling the truth but there doesn't seem to be anything I can do. They told me repeatedly in July they had mailed it and they hadn't. This is not satisfactory to me but there doesn't seem any point in going back and forth. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
